PRESCIENCE

In general, foreknowledge. Specifically the foreknowledge that God has of future events whose occurrence depends on the free will of creatures. They are events that take place if certain choices are made. Prescience is also God's foreknowledge of the merits that human beings will acquire by their voluntary co-operation with divine grace. (Etym. Latin prae, before + scientia, knowledge.)
