The Reformation
cannot last. By it's very nature it is self-defeating. The Reformation is not a single event in history. It is an ongoing event and leads to other, smaller "reformations" every day. This in turn leads to an inexorable splintering of the Protestant confession as branches beget more branches which in turn splinter again. Look around you. Do you even
know what some of these Protestant offshoots profess?
In short, it is a process which is tending towards chaos and fragmentation and that cannot continue indefinitely.
