Nuts and Bolts - By Tim Staples: Mary Worshippers Need Not Apply
Envoy ^ | Tim Staples

The Scenario:

Ever have one of those days when you’re feeling full of energy and vigor? I mean, you’re feeling just obnoxiously happy? Well, this is one of those days.

Driving home from work, you switch on the radio to see what’s happening, and you tune in to a local Protestant radio station just in time to hear a preacher speaking against various Catholic doctrines concerning Mary. The show is called Pastor Bob’s Bible Hour. Pastor Bob proclaims: “Jesus knew Catholics would come along and begin to worship His mother and call her perpetual virgin and absurd things like that. But the Bible says: ‘Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And are not His brethren James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all of His sisters with us?’ (Matt. 13:55-56a). And isn’t it sad, my brothers and sisters?”

Pastor Bob goes on to say: “Jesus dealt with these Mary worshippers in His day. In Luke 11:27-28, the Bible says, ‘A woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts that You sucked!” But He said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”’”

On a normal day you would probably just listen, take a few mental notes and drive on. But not this time. You’re feeling a little bit too saucy. You take the first exit you see and head for a phone. This is just one more reason why you need to buy that cell phone you’ve been talking about getting.

Step One:

That’s a good start. The Bible seems occupied with so and so begat so and so and so on. The funny thing is that all those so and so after Seth turn out to be Israel.

I would agree although we should be doing that anyways.

Yes, Seth is the spiritual son given to replace Abel. Noah is descended from Seth, Noah begat Shem, who begat Eber, father of the Hebrews.

TRUE TRUE.

HOwever, lots of folks seem to require a 2 X 4 up-side the head just to wake them up or get their attention.

I think the Roman Catholic et al’s presentations of their absurdities as though they were reasonable or Biblical is insulting enough to the lurkers.

In other words, this statement is untrue:

Thankfully, most lurkers are brighter than many Roman Catholics et al seem to give them credit for.

You can't prove it, you can't defend it, so you just repeat it. Typical liberal tactic: repeat the Big Lie often enough, and someone will eventually believe it.

Disgusting to the max. Particularly on a conservative web site.

So, you and Quix would batter those who don't pay attention to you? I believe that. Scratch a liberal and find a tyrant.

Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, the evil doer, the drunkard in the gate, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. 9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up

The violent aggression does not come from Christ.

HOwever, lots of folks seem to require a 2 X 4 up-side the head just to wake them up or get their attention.

Now you're advocating violence.

How sweet.

I know.

Everyone wants to follow whatever Pied Piper is mesmerizing the group . . . in lock-step conformity . . . usually without much through and without much examining the Scriptures to check such stuff.

We already knew that many metapors seem to be utterly lost on the rabid clique contingents amongst the Roman Catholics et al hereon.

However, that post was a nice confirmation of that fact.

Thanks.

Don’t sweat it, somebody online from 6 in the morning to midnight ain’t much of anything, let alone an attorney. I always have a mental image of some fat guy, keyboard all grungy, pizza boxes all over, cockroaches, maybe a kid with a full diaper... well you get the picture.

Perhaps. Perhaps not.

Some folks inherit enough wealth to play around at whatever strikes their fancy.

I like to give the benefit of the doubt.

However, it seems hereon that many times some folks are very intent on shredding as much of such benefit of the doubt as they can manage.

... I was told as a child by my Baptist friend that Catholics pray to Cleopatra and all sorts of other dead people.

My best friends grandmother, a Jehova Witness, told me the Pope was the devil. Since I was 6 or 7, and the devil always scared the heck out me, I avoided thinking about anything related to the church and God.

Needless to say, I had a very turbulent adolecense. Thank God for my Catholic mother. My friend's Grandmother was eventually diagnosed with a mental illness. My friend who converted to Catholisism, gets mad when her sisters send her anti-Catholic emails. She says they have no idea what they are talking about but fervently believe the lies they repeat.

She says they fail to question, for a even a minute, the many inconsistencies and problems that Jeh. Witnesses have. She told me that as long as they are focusing on the problems of other faiths, they won't notice their own issues, so maintaining their faith within "The Kingdom Hall", almost requires that they only focus on other faith problems whether real, or percieved.

Several years ago while visiting Rome I was able to see John Paul II, give Eastern mass in the Vatican. It was unplanned and coincidence (Grace of God). That was a true healing moment.

I probably came full circle when walking the Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross) in Jerusalem. It was there, that I felt mind, body, and soul, God's love and the importance of my role as a mother.

I still get teary eyed when I visualize Jesus' mother seeing her Son being abused and tortured, while carrying His cross. Mary's commitment to God was unconditional. That event healed my hardened heart.

(I love you Father, please help me have a heart like the Blessed Mary and forgive me.)

FOURTH STATION Via Dolorosa

Jesus meets his Mother

We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee.

For by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.

From the Gospel according to Luke. 2:34-35,51

Simon blessed them and said to Mary his mother: "Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed". And his mother kept all these things in her heart.

Mother of Christ is Israel. Riiight.

Yah'shua is not a catholic, nor a hindu, nor a baptist.

YHvH came to this earth as a Jew, lived as a Jew,
died as a Jew, rose as a Jew on His Feast of First Fruits.

Yah'shua will come again to rule and reign the whole world
on the throne of King David for a thousand years in the city of Jerusalem.
