Nuts and Bolts - By Tim Staples: Mary Worshippers Need Not Apply
Envoy ^ | Tim Staples

The Scenario:

Ever have one of those days when you’re feeling full of energy and vigor? I mean, you’re feeling just obnoxiously happy? Well, this is one of those days.

Driving home from work, you switch on the radio to see what’s happening, and you tune in to a local Protestant radio station just in time to hear a preacher speaking against various Catholic doctrines concerning Mary. The show is called Pastor Bob’s Bible Hour. Pastor Bob proclaims: “Jesus knew Catholics would come along and begin to worship His mother and call her perpetual virgin and absurd things like that. But the Bible says: ‘Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And are not His brethren James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all of His sisters with us?’ (Matt. 13:55-56a). And isn’t it sad, my brothers and sisters?”

Pastor Bob goes on to say: “Jesus dealt with these Mary worshippers in His day. In Luke 11:27-28, the Bible says, ‘A woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts that You sucked!” But He said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”’”

On a normal day you would probably just listen, take a few mental notes and drive on. But not this time. You’re feeling a little bit too saucy. You take the first exit you see and head for a phone. This is just one more reason why you need to buy that cell phone you’ve been talking about getting.

Step One:

AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

A lot of brazenly horrific truth has been shared recently about Marian idolatry and blasphemies. The regulars have shown the usual resistence to hearing the truth.

There are consquences for that. A hardening of the heart and mind against the truth is a frightful thing.

As far as I am concerned, I simply read “mother of a son” in verse 5 and then “Chirst” being that son a few verses down and I don’t need anything else to figure that out.

I am just like Luther’s milkmaid on that particular score.

“Mother” is nowhere to be found in the chapter.

Israel “gave birth to” the child.

“the woman, who brought forth the man child” is not the child’s mother?

Tell us more.

A larger selection of fresher adjectives would be welcome. "Brazenly" "horrific" are overused. An educated person would do better. Maybe some of the other protties could help.

And "resistance" is misspelled.

Naw.

Redundancy of that sort is . . . fitting . . . given the absurd redundancies we have to put up with re the BRAZENLY HORRIFIC Marian idolatries and blasphemies.

Amazing these allegations... I was told as a child by my Baptist friend that Catholics pray to Cleopatra and all sorts of other dead people.

Just goes to show what is taught in many Christian churches regarding Catholicism.
Garbage in and garbage out.

You should know that I appreciate the special flavor of your posts just like they are, even though I usually find it unnecessary to respond to them.

Yes. I think you made why abundantly clear once upon a time.

Thankfully, most lurkers are brighter than many Roman Catholics et al seem to give them credit for.

Therefore a Catholic approaches it with that mindset and no hermeneutics is involved, only dogma and a blind devotion, but, it isn't faith.

Well that's obvious. The funny thing is that he is correct to point to Gen 3:15 but completely misses the point of Gen 3:15 and thus completely misses the meaning of Rev 12.

I am sure the “woman” in Gen 3:15 is also ... Israel? Hermeneutically?

That’s the tactic of the Enemy, some truth mixed in amongst the lies, so that one who is unlearned and unstable, sees the metallic glints and thinks all the rest that glitters is the gold. Like salting the mine.

It's Eve, silly. Can't you read the plain meaning?

Point to any Catholic post that is disrespectful of lurkers. Any RF thread.

Truthfully, what Catholic would bother with the blatant, ugly, relentless, false, repetitive prottie bigotry hereon unless for the sake of the lurkers?

OK. That’s a relief. I love women. I am married to one. I was born from one. I have a daughter. None of them are Israel. I thought something was wrong with me.

Eve’s seed that was going to crush Satan’s head is then who, Seth?

Mostly insure that hearts are in tune with and walking close with God.

Pray and ask Him what, if anything is left in terms of other preparations of hearts, minds, souls, bodies, homes, relationships etc.

Avoid allowing the enemy’s fears to overtake one.

Become ready to help those for whom such stuff will fall out of the sky totally unexpected, whenever it comes.

That’s probably about it.

What would you say to your own question?

I suppose we should be having this exchange ont hat thread. It was just while I was posting to you I thought I’d ask. LOL.

I think the Roman Catholic et al’s

presentations of their absurdities as though they were reasonable or Biblical is insulting enough to the lurkers.
