And at the most absolutely worst times.

That's what really makes me wonder about Robertson's motives. He picks the absolutely worst times to make these kinds of statements that allow the media, liberals, and those who hate Christianity to have plenty of fodder to criticize Christians with.

I think a lot of it is money, but there has got to be something evil at work that makes Robertson say the things that he does.

The first thing Moses did with the Ten Commandments was throw them to the ground in disgust at the sin of Israel. The next thing he did was plead with God not to destroy Israel. The implication being that God would have done exactly that had Moses not intervened.

And then is the case where Abraham pleaded with God to not destroy the people if 20, no, 10, no 5 righteous people could be found. The implication is clear: had there been no bargaining, then 5, no 10, no 20 righteous people would have been destroyed for the sins of others.

You make Roberston sound logical.

Because there is logic to it. You don't have to agree with him, but he's no fool.

Your god, the Bible, is full of examples.

Why hasn't God struck down America for abortion?

Check out my tagline.

There are times that I think that Pat Robertson has ties with Westborro Baptist. They both use the most inappropriate times and situations to try and make a point.

You need aid from Satan to beat the French?

Satan must have been pretty busy the last few centuries....

He does have a habit of picking the worst times when he knows the media will run with whatever he says. It is not a coincidence - it's happened too many times.

After watching the entire segment on CBN’s website, I take this comment back. There wasn’t a hint of “they had it coming” in the way he told the story. Robertson’s ministry had people in Haiti at the time build a sewage treatment plant, for crying out loud... the idea that he was reveling in this is a vicious lie.

My apologies to Mr. Robertson, his ministry and everybody at CBN for taking part in the pile-on.

Its hard to believe the media really cares about anything Pat Robertson says when they weren’t in the least offended by Reverend Wright. Funny how outrage works.

Pat also said: “The devil said okay; it’s a deal” (to the Haitians). So now apparently, not only can Pat read God’s mind but the devil’s as well.

IMHO, Pat may have had a valid point, but the more I study Scripture and how God disciplines, if the earthquake were a Divine judgment on the people of Haiti, it probably would have been a disciplinary action more upon believers who had become degenerate and fallen away from Him, rather than upon unbelievers, no matter how evil their intentions.

We are all condemned prior to faith in Christ, so there in many fashions is no need to further hinder unbelievers, as they will be placed under our Lord’s feet as a footstool anyways.

One might make an argument of the sin unto death for some unbelievers who may have further degenerated to a point of not having any possibility of any future faith. But while man might not be faithful, He is always faithful and will prevail no matter what the degenerate hindrance. He doesn’t have to tolerate evil in His presence forever, though, and there will be a separation of good from evil at the Judgment.
