“The hard truth is that we cant let a sinking family member take us down with them.”
In sickness and in health.
You can’t discard a spouse because he or she gets sick on you.
Prayers for you and your daughter, and for your husband.
Prayers up for a joyous and peaceful solution for all of you.
Mouse1 said he has left and she hasn't heard from him. He refuses help, or medication. She allowed him to uproot the family, and relocate because he felt he was being watched by unknown persons who were dangerous.
It hardly sounds as if she has discarded him. Her number one priority as a parent is to the welfare and safety of her minor child.
Prayers are certainly in order for the family, but to safeguard her child against any violence, abduction, or harm from an unstable parent comes first.
Prayers.
prayers for you all
Prayers for you and your family.
Prayers for healing, peace and courage.
Prayers are up.
Prayers sent.
In my prayers....
It hardly sounds as if she has discarded him.
My remarks were not addressed to Mouse1, for whom I have the greatest sympathy.
I was replying to note 54 in which Melian said, The hard truth is that we cant let a sinking family member take us down with them.
Prayers are certainly in order for the family, but to safeguard her child against any violence, abduction, or harm from an unstable parent comes first.
Goes without saying.
Wow. Prayers for sure.
Of course you can’t discard a spouse because he or she gets sick on you. But you can’t let your sorrow over the person kill you or destroy your own life. That was my point. No matter what, you have to go on in the best, healthiest way possible.
If you don’t, you can’t be much help to the ill loved one— or yourself.
This is especially true in the case of a mentally ill or drug-addicted loved one.
“But you cant let your sorrow over the person kill you or destroy your own life. That was my point.”
Okay, I took it differently at first. Glad I was mistaken.
