Lord, the war in Afghanistan goes on, and we are concerned for our military during this time. Lord, we pray that You would be their strength and their comfort; may no discouragement take hold of them. Please lead them to victory, and may their help come from You.
We say a special prayer for the families bereaved at Fort Hood as Christmas comes closer and preparations begin. It is always hard to have sadness when you are supposed to have joy, and we ask for Your comfort for them throughout this holiday season. We make the same request for the loved ones of every serviceman deployed or about to be deployed. Remind all these families of the profound, unchangeable joy of Christ's birth.
Father, we pray for Your church, that You would give all of us wisdom in how to respond to the ungodliness around us. Teach us, Lord, when and how to make a stand against the evils of our time, the devaluing of human lives that shows itself in so many ways.
Lord, we bring our prayers to You in faith and hope. You are a mighty God, sovereign over heaven and earth, but You are not a distant God. You take thought of us, small as we are, and show us Your goodness. You we acknowledge, and to You we give praise, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
A call to prayer.
I join in prayer for our heroes!

Dear Father
We come before You in the name of Your Dear Son Jesus.
We lift up our Men and Women in uniform and ask that You hold them in Your tender care.
Be with them at all times, but especially during this Christmas and Channukah Season.
As they remember the Nativity and also the victory of the Maccabbees over the unrighteous oppressors, let this be a time of victory for our troops as well, both spiritually, and on the ground.
We also pray for their families and loved ones, for their health, well-bing, and finances.
This we pray in Jesus Name
Amen
God bless our brave troops.
Amen.
My beloved husband “saltnlemons” and I both prayed and agreed together in Jesus Holy Name, and say amen to your wonderful prayer!
Amen to Every Word of your Powerful Prayer, Sister Irish Rose. It's Always a Blessing to Pray your Anointed Prayers with you.
'Sing Praises to the Lord.' (Ps.68:4)
Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. (Luke 1:68)
