Hey pal,
For years the Catholic Church covered up for their priests diddling young boys and an occational girl.
They’d simply transfer them to a distant place and they have paid dearly for it. Cept too few went to jail for the actions or the cover up.
I am simply asking what their position is at this point?
Or you can knee jerk a response and I do not get an answer.
Thanks for your informed and enlightened response.
You are a scholar.

No. The Catholic Church NEVER did that. SOME bishops did. SOME did not. The previous diocese I lived in turned over the last priest to the police in a heartbeat. He went to prison. That was years ago. The bishop simply would not tolerate a priest in his diocese harming minors.
It all depends on the bishop.
What is the position of the Protestant churches? People like you use any excuse to get in a dig against the Catholic church, including going OT on a thread about a Protestant youth minister. 3 major insurance companies for Protestant churches in the US report they get about 260 reports per year of sexual abuse against minors by church clergy and staff. Compare this to the average of ALL reports in the Catholic church of 228 peryear (all not just from 3 insurance companies) and it seems to me that the Protestant churches in the US have a much bigger abuse problem. The Catholic church has taken many steps to address the issue including implementing very strict training process for any person who deals with children in a parish.
Pot meet kettle.
