Featured Term (selected at random):
The most comprehensive editions of the Fathers of the Church and ecclesiastical writers in existence. Jacques Paul Migne (1800-75) had been a parish priest in Orléans, France, until 1844, when he began publishing the corpus of Latin authors up to Innocent III (217 volumes, 1844-55). Then followed the Greek writers to A.D. 1439 (162 volumes, with Latin translation, 1857-66). The two collections, Patrologia Latina (P.L.) and Patrologia Graeca (P.G.), although lacking the critical perfection of modern scholarship, are still a standard source for reference and quotation.

We are of the exact opposite denomination - my family is Lutheran. Totally different in just about every way.
Actually we are quite similar. Your service (in the right Lutheran church of course) is very similar to the Catholic Mass from whence it came.
Luther also hung onto other Catholic beliefs.
Another exercise: say "new" slowly, paying attention to what you tongue is doing before it peels off the palate for the "ew" sound.
The outcome is a kind of an N sound, but softer, as if you meant to glide into a "yu" or "ye" sound but did not follow all the way. Some people talk to babies in such soft lisp. There is a male voice on the National Public Radio that has that unusual soft register in his speech.
So his name sounds "Zhahk Paul MeeN" where N is that soft N.
It must be admitted, though, that he had a very (ahem) "colorful" life.
Thank you, Salvation.
