Will Notre Dame become another Georgetown?

Recent events at the University of Notre Dame are creating a great deal of moral confusion. Ever since the university decided to honor our pro-abortion president at its commencement ceremony earlier this year, it seems the institution is on a direct collision course with its long-standing Catholic identity.

I turned to my wife and said, “This is what happens when Obama speaks at your graduation” when they lost. ND has no honor any more.

You might on to something. I don’t think touchdown Jesus will help ND anymore. They’ll probably replace him with a big picture of OBAMA anyway.

All kidding aside - It is sad to see how far ND has fallen.

ROFL.

What a joke. Those two "Catholic" institutions sold their souls a long time ago.

Notre Dame is now exposing the radical Secular losers who teach at the University and the So Called “PRIEST” who is in charge.
Once the Leaders take their EYE off Christ as the center of Catholicism, they are lost, and will lead their students to Perdition.

This is exactly what most American Universities have been experiencing from the leaders and Teachers, who are leading students to hate America, and for the most part are not only, non patriots but marxists and comunists.

“The 88 pro-lifers who entered Notre Dame’s campus to be the voice of the unborn last May continue to face trespass charges and up to one year in jail. Nearly 20,000 people have signed a petition or called Fr. John I. Jenkins, urging him to ask the prosecutor to drop the charges. However, the charges still stand”.

All the more scandalous because the picketers in this case were fighting for the lives of the innocent unborn.

Were this a protest By Al Sharpton, with as many black followers, “Father Jenkins” would have treated them as visiting dignitaries and served them with all the conveniences they require.

Shame, Shame, Shame, on Jenkins and Notre Dame

A pastor recently spoke about this phenomenon. He reminded us that Harvard, Yale and Princeton were all initially opened as Christian based instituions but gradually over time all become very secular and anti-Christian.

He theorized that even the most conservative Christian seminaries today will eventually become liberal. And new conservatives institutions will develop to replace them.

It already IS another Georgetown. If you want to send your kid to a truly Catholic college, cross ND off the list. Franciscan College of Steubenville, Ohio still adheres to the Faith, as do a handful of smaller schools. Another way of nurturing the kids’ Faith would be to send them to a good state school with an active Newman or other Catholic Students’ club. Nothing harms the Faith of young people more than attendance at faux Catholic schools like Georgetown, Notre Dame, and Boston College. And that goes as well for second tier schools like Marquette, DePaul (among the very worst) and Loyola in Chicago.

ND still has not fallen completely, and here is why:

"Anyone who has read the works of Fr. McBrien, and several other professors, knows that there is a threat to (Notre Dame's) Catholicism from within as well. But unlike Harvard or Yale, Northwestern or Southern Cal, all former Christian universities that are now secular schools, Notre Dame has the weapon to fight all heresies, namely Notre Dame Herself ... for the modern infidels to take control here, they would have to blow the Dame off the Dome, rip the heart (the Eucharist) out of Sacred Heart (Church) and lastly, rock by rock, tear the Grotto apart. And legions of Her sons and daughters would willingly die martyrs before they would allow that to happen." -from "Champions of Faith" by Tom O'Toole, ND'81
