Brebeuf's Instructions to the Missionaries


In 1637, Father Jean de Brebeuf drew up a list of instructions for Jesuit missionaries destined to work among the Huron. These reflect his own experience and a genuine sensitivity toward our people.

Those guys were incredible; look at what the Jesuits have egenerated into today. Imagine St. Isaac Jogues had to get a special dispensation to hold the host with his mangled hands, and today high school students serve as “Eucharistic Ministers”...
