Witness the "all" of me
Bible and The Comforter | Scribe

Posted on 10/17/2009 4:39:18 PM PDT by Jedediah

A manifold witness I have placed in you ,

All that is faithful and true ,

A oneness of The Father and I in one breath ,

Can you imagine this depth ,

For what once rested upon me ,

Was the one and the three in complete harmony ,

And so it is even now My fullness with you ,

For as you witness me all 3 come through ~ ~ ~

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:6-12 (King James Version)

6But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

7Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

1 Corinthians 4:18-21 (New King James Version) 18 Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power. 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 21 What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

SOME FOLKS, A PERCENTAGE OF FOLKS ATTACK ME--ESSENTIALLY--for the same reasons they attack JEDEDIAH.

And some folks attack you because you post to them three times in a row for no discernible reason. And some folks attack you because the big blue letters seem to be calling attention to the self-perceived importance of your words above others. And some folks attack you because of self-referential flattery.

There are a myriad of reasons to attack. Claiming to be a follower of Christ while giving Him a bad reputation by your actions might be one.

If a really self righteous fearless pharisee like Caiaphas were alive today would he post things on FR? I know I come to FR to look for information. You are one of my favorite sources.

Does anger come from pain? I sense a lot of anger from some posters.

You Quix have been faithful to your watchman calling. Jedediah's posts have also been wonderful.

It’s hard, isn’t it, when a poster can’t come right out and blast the person he’d like to, most.

Having to hide behind the impersonal “rabid RCs” instead of name-calling a specific poster is such a trial for the truly angry among us.

Or, maybe posting 3 times in a row to the same poster gets the message across, or if it doesn’t, then the poster is automatically judged “clueless” or genetically petty.

But I’m pretty sure that posters know when other posters are directing insults to them. For one thing, that pesky little “To” at the top. Sort of gives it all away.

***Once in NYC, back when there was still quad, I went to a hi-fi show. Some speaker company with speakers that cost a bazillion dollars was giving a demo and used Money. It was, next to an audiophile pressing of Off the Wall on $10,000 KEF Reference speakers (in the 80’s), one of the coolest things I’ve ever heard.***

Pink Floyd is and was silly, puerile, drug themed, inane, and some of the best rock music ever written and performed.

God is the great and awesome Creator of all. False prophets are to be mocked and driven back under the rocks that they crawled out from under.

I am not enquiring as to whether he was getting it all dirty. I was stating it. Are you sure that your translation of FR is accurate?

To the contrary. We recognize Scripture and, to go a step beyond his posts, we understand it.

When an infinite number of monkeys type on an infinite number of typewriters, we do not mistake them for Shakespeare.

Yes.

I think a LOT of anger arises out of pain.

That’s one reason I mention ATTACHMENT DISORDER so often.

I know from first hand experience as well as my training and professional work . . . tons of relationship stuff comes out of the ATTACHMENT DISORDERED CHILDHOODS that so many have.

As another FREEPER shrink was discussing with me on one of the murder threads . . .

I’d noted that the profession claims that only 20% of citizens in the general populace suffer from ATTACHMENT DISORDER . . . while my student population and other populations—e.g. church . . . convince me that

MAYBE ONLY 20% MIGHT be relatively free of ATTACHMENT DISORDER.

He seemed to end up essentilly agreeing . . . noting that the less intense levels of ATTACHMENT DISORDER result in ANXIETY DISORDERS and the like.

All that certainly results in low self-worth . . . etc. which tends to usually result in many with seemingly over-inflated self-worth as a compensation.

Also, there’s a ton of emotional insecurity; low “emotional IQ” and the like that also contributes to conflicted, tortured relationships.

I’d wager that not a single one of the most rabid, most hostile posters hereon has persistently smooth relationships in their home lives.

If they do, then there’s a huge degree of Jeckyl/Hyde stuff going on.

Such pain filled ‘scratching the eyes out’ of

—all perceived to be a threat;
—all perceived to be markedly different [witness the tirade about petty things like posting colors and the like]
—all perceived to be philosophically/religiously different;
etc. etc. etc.

is a very common result of the collection of painful, angry stuff under ATTACHMENT DISORDER.

However,

SCRIPTURE INSISTS WE ARE TO

be angry AND SIN NOT.

Let not the sun go down on our wrath.

. . . and that, at a certain point, anger = murder . . . when carried far enough.

Certainly I’ve felt the vicious angry clawed hands around my neck through the wires on this thread! LOL.

We MUST, if we seek to truly follow Christ, learn to submit our anger TO HIM.

And, to learn to ask His help in putting ourselves in the other person’s skin sufficiently to get a pretty good understanding of what it’s like to walk around in their lives, skin, minds.

Compassion ought to flow from such empathy as we seek to become like Christ.

However, Compassion is not always warm and fuzzy.

I believe Christ was MOST COMPASSIONATE with the Pharisees when He rebuked them so forcefully and called them sons of satan, vipers, white washed tombs.

That vividly stated stark and brutal TRUTH was their best chance to face the truth about themselves and be redeemed.

Most of us pretend we are not that desperately in need of redemption so as to be willing to face that much truth about ourselves.

Only in the pig pen did the Prodigal Son face himself.

Clawing, stabbing, blaming, scratching eyes out . . . anger and pain symptoms, for sure.

And, they are far from fruits of The Spirit.

I’ve not found folks to give them up very willingly unless and until they come utterly to the end of themselves . . . until the vividly EXPERIENCE God rubbing their worst features painfully into their faces to their bone marrow.

That’s no fun. I know from very vivid experiences a number of times—being a slow learner on such scores.

However, it’s kind of a last chance thing. If we will NOT HEAR when we are brought to the end of ourselves, I don’t know what hope there is.

I think most of the angry self-righteous folks hereon are far from the ends of themselves. However, in 24 hours things chould change for anyone. Certainly, things will change some day for the folks hereon. A number of them will be brought to the ends of themselves because God Loves them THAT MUCH.

THAT WILL BE HIS GRACE AND MERCY TO THEM.

When they are there, they will remember such threads as these . . . they will remember their stabbing and clawing . . . and it will deepen their loathesomeness toward their own sinful nature and state.

Blaming will fall away as hideous.

Accusation will fall away as perverse.

Self-righteousness will fall away as horrific idolatry.

All will be seen as terminally stupid; terminally ignorant, terminally self-destructive.

Prayerfully, they will accept Christ’s redemption at new levels then.

And others, regardless of how DIFFERENT will be seen as also made in God’s image and worthy of caring and respect.

Look, if you guys want to call your particular claptrap Jededianism or some weird(er) offshoot of Swedenborg (a fascinating lunatic) then we would not be having this conversation. If you claim Christianity, then we will continue to have contention as you guys continue large scale divergence from Christianity.

NOPE.

WRONG in a list of ways, yet again.

LOL.

Fascinating this fetish about my multiple posts.

AS I’ve explained multiple time . . . that’s just the way I think.

I type fast. When I’ve done with a chunk of typing, I usually post it . . . sometimes after checking it.

Then, on further reflection, I have additional thoughts.

So charitable of you to harshly castigate me for the way my mind works. So absolutely Mother Theresa/Mother Mary Christian of you and all.
