Oracles of my servants are true and report what I am doing today for as my word forget the former things behold I do a new thing and I shall speak it through whom I choose without man's approval or their vain imaginations rooted in pride and knowledge of the flesh and not the kingdom for they know not of my ways as long as they seek to admire their flesh .
So "my" chosen and few shall speak of new things and things to come and the shallow minded shall not conceive the things of the Spirit of The Lord that they reject in prideful wanderings for truly they are only a desert unto themselves and those blind that follow these empty sounding gongs absent of The Father's love .
So come ! To the Spring of Living Waters for I shall quench your thirst through The Spirit of The Lord for I AM THE WORD and only My Spirit can reveal this to you by The Father's will .
Will you come ? Or wrestle with me for day is breaking and your Morningstar calls to those in " humble abide " .
Abide with me and fast the earth !
1 Corinthians 1:20-22 20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;
1 Corinthians 2:13-15 13 These things we also speak, not in words which mans wisdom teaches but which the Holy[a] Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
Isaiah 43:18-21 18 Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen. 21 This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.
Nah, she’s not stupid. And she had daily growth hormone shots for three years, in her early ‘teens, so she avoids needles now!
(Plus they were only there 12 hours. I don’t know where they went next.)
Let’s see. 12 hours in Vancouver.
Enough time to fall afoul of either the local constabulary or else the local Chinese mafia. Although, being in the armed forces, one assumes that she has martial arts training as well as a loaded peacemaker in other than .22 popgun or 9 mm popgun.
I don’t think Coast Guardsmen (or Guards-girls) generally go armed in port, and their basic training doesn’t include the combat skills of the Army or Marines. Very strong on swimming, though!
Anoreth plans to apply to Gunnery school when she’s been in the service long enough. If she gets that training, then she’ll be very good with weapons and can get a post in the Caribbean to fight pirates and drug-runners.

Trouble is, all those Canadians are lumberjacks and very strong swimmers, too.

It’s been some years, but I used to be rather handy with a Mossberg 500 pistol grip in one hand and a Ruger GP .357 in the other. That was when I lived in Deaborn, Michigan, about a mile from the Detroit border.
I didn’t see any lumberjacks in the “Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations” show about Vancouver. Mostly Japanese cooks.
Were there lots of falafel shops in Dearbornistan? I love falafel!

Someday I will make it out to Vancouver. I’ve all over the East (to the Soo), but never west of that in Canada.

If you didn’t go into one (about four per block) when walking by, the Arabs would kidnap you and bring you in and hold you hostage until you bought some.
Colleen loves the stuff and still buys bad babaganoush (as available in the Midwest).
I make baba ganous all summer, when the eggplants are cheap, and I think mine is better than what they have at the Lebanese restaurant we go to on our rare evenings out. My hummus is better, too, but I always throw extra vegetables into taboulet, which makes it something else. Sort of like what I call “chili” and my husband calls “that dish you make with the ground meat.”
I’ve never been to Canada, or the West Coast of the US north of San Francisco.

Canadians are very much like Americans, except that they are polite and helpful and make better beer and better whisky and have better politics and play hockey better and taught the Americans the game of football and whupped them the last time that they sneakily invaded without declaring war.
Well, sorta like Americans...
We have some Canadians in my Weight Watchers meeting. Maybe Southern cooking is bad for them? Last year (year before? my mind wanders ...) when we had the gas price spike, we of a Certain Age were talking about the crisis of the early 70s, and the Canadians didn’t get it. They didn’t have price controls, so they had enough gas then!

Yup. I lived an hour from Buffalo and we thought that Americans were absolutely nuts. Gas lines? We had cheap gas and more gas than we can use. American cars by the thousands came over every day. Carter was and is a wart.
Oh, my, yes. Of all the awful people we've elected president, he's the one that just won't go away!
