***I don’t think Coast Guardsmen (or Guards-girls) generally go armed in port, and their basic training doesn’t include the combat skills of the Army or Marines. Very strong on swimming, though!***

Trouble is, all those Canadians are lumberjacks and very strong swimmers, too.

It’s been some years, but I used to be rather handy with a Mossberg 500 pistol grip in one hand and a Ruger GP .357 in the other. That was when I lived in Deaborn, Michigan, about a mile from the Detroit border.

I didn’t see any lumberjacks in the “Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations” show about Vancouver. Mostly Japanese cooks.

Were there lots of falafel shops in Dearbornistan? I love falafel!
