O Lord, give victory; let the King answer us when we call. (Psalm 20:9)
It is easy to come up with new reasons to fear, but we are here today recounting the new reasons we have daily to bless You and to choose faith in Your goodness and power, Father. Thank You for such a great salvation You have provided mankind and for Your love for us. Those of us who have been brought into Your Kingdom, thank You for the grace which convicted us of our sins and which showed us how to receive forgiveness from You for them. For all eternity, we will bless and praise You for this miracle You accomplished in each of our lives.
We pray today for victory for our troops—those defenders of liberty and freedoms for us and for other peoples. We remember how many times in the past You have used our military to execute judgment on regimes which were evil. We pray for Your favor for our military now. Give victory. King Jesus, answer us when we call. We leave judgment to You, but we pray for the protection of each one who has come forward to serve. Let our Governmental and military leaders have wisdom from You as to how to proceed in our current wars. Only You have that perfect knowledge and plan for the overall goodness of mankind. We are not asking from a position of our goodness, but Your children’s covenant with You and a plea for mercy for our Country.

Along with the Presidential Prayer team, we pray again for Congressman Randy Forbes. We thank You for another member of Your body serving us in our Government, Sir. We are grateful for the Congressional Prayer Caucus which he founded and heads in its national efforts to protect prayer and our nation’s spiritual history. We pray that those good things to which he is setting his hand would have favor with his co-workers in Congress and with his constituents. Give him greater boldness and courage as he goes forward as an ambassador for Christ and a leader/servant. Give him Your wisdom and mind as he works at the task to which You have assigned him. We ask You, Sir, for his physical protection and for grace for his wife and children as they go about their daily lives without the time from him afforded most families.
Father, You have called us to pray and we have answered Your call in faith and trust in Your love for us. Thank You for answering our prayers in Jesus’ name. Amen.
