Pray for our American Heroes

When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. (Proverbs 16:7)

Most Glorious God, thank You for today. It is Your gift to us and we are appreciative for the opportunities that it presents. We are grateful for Your gift of the Holy Spirit, Who leads and guides us and shows us how to pray as we ought. We invite Him into our time of prayer today and receive His ministry in Jesus’ name.

We pray today for each and every person who has surrendered his own plans and purposes to join our military. We believe that You called each one and that the work that is being done is for the purpose of protecting Your principles and allowing Your Word to spread. Therefore, we put our faith in Your promise to make our enemies to be at peace with us. You alone are able to do this. We do not trust in man or anything man can devise in his own abilities, but in Your strong arm of favor, mercy and protection. Guide each one this day away from harm and with skill to accomplish each task in excellence.

We also pray today for Mike J. Rogers (R, MI). We appreciate his stand against cap and trade and the health care proposal, his commitment to energy independence as well as his experience and support for our military personnel. Again, Sir, we know that no man can be perfect in all his ways, but we are indebted to You for any stand in favor of righteousness and restoring the Country You have so graciously given to us. We pray that You would bless his righteous stands and grant him the exceeding great gift of the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that he may know You better. We pray also that the eyes of his heart may be enlightened in order that he may know the hope to which You have called him, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and Your incomparably great power for us who believe. Draw him, by Your Spirit, to a close walk with You.

Thank You for answering our prayers today. We love You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for blessing this country with such brave men and women, and their families who are willing to sacifice for our country. Protect them as they protect us, bless them, and give them the peace and the knowledge You walk with them and will one day reward them for there life of service.
