Well, my church ordained women in 1752, so I suppose I’d take the blessing and be grateful for it.
But, there’s something seriously amiss with with RC female religious, as even brief contact with one of their spokespersons will reveal.

Many orders of nuns, in my opinion, will be disbanded by the Vatican unless they return to orthodox views.
I think of the nuns who constantly speak out for the ordination of women in particular. You can see their obtuseness on Our Lady’s Warriors website under dissent.

back in the 50s and early 60s, I was schooled by Dominican sisters, in a Catholic parochial school.
They often talked about the sin of murder in connection with abortion...in 1960, they said how Kennedy would never approve a bill legalizing abortion, because he was Catholic....
the naivety of the times....they never realized that it would be Marxist legislating from the bench of the Supreme Court that legalized abortion....
anyway...the nuns were very anti-abortion back then

The traditional orders, the ones who keep to the Habit and contemplation are not likely worried by the Vatican’s inquiry. Those orders are growing. The Modernist orders, the ones whose members would worry about the investigation, are withering away. The sort of young women who might be attracted to them go instead into social work in government agencies where the pay is better. These things work themselves out over time.

The Church ministers to illegals because it is in the business of saving souls, individual souls, regardless of the political ramifications. The Church has no business working against of for any political system or national system except where that system is inimical to the Church. The Church should include the wetbacks as it does any other Christians. The Church should not promote any government action or attitude for or against illegal immigration. The Church must treat the illegals on the same terms as it treats anyone else.

The Church should not promote any government action or attitude for or against illegal immigration.Wrong. Teaching people to obey both God's law and the law of man and thus render unto Caesar what is Caesar's is part of the Church's responsibility.
2241 The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him.
Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.
The Church must treat the illegals on the same terms as it treats anyone else.
Sounds like a USCCB relativist talking point.

The Church should deal with the individuals. The Church is not an enforcer for the government.

Nope. It is a religious viewpoint as opposed to a political viewpoint. I believe the government should crack down on illegal immigration and secure the border. Employers of illegals should see jail time, etc. I vote with that in mind.
The Church is in a different business. Should the Church in Rome of yore have turned the illegals in its congregations over to the Romans? They were breaking the law.

The Church should not disregard what the government of Mexico, for instance, is NOT doing for its people. One reason why Mexico, despite its great wealth, is none the less “poor,” is because of a history of very bad government.
