It is nearly impossible to go anywhere in the United States of America today and not sense the oppressive sexual culture in which we live. It is a subliminal, hypnotic barrage of immoral images, lewd language and erotic enticements that consciously and subconsciously affects our entire nation. It has gone so far that we have become a base and morally callous people. Where can anyone go today without being continuously bombarded by the “24/ 7” decadent drumbeat of this licentious orchestra? We have indeed become a “Red Light District” nation!
This hypnotic drum beat comes from all different sources of media: TV, radio, the internet, billboards, advertising, the music industry, the fashion world, Hollywood, the sports world, newspapers, magazines, tabloids, classrooms, college campuses, government,….and on and on. Every facet of life has been affected. Every nook and cranny of American culture has been permeated and contaminated with this sickening vice. Teaching and preaching the moral values and virtues that are vital to preserve a healthy society brings only hate and slander from the vast secular faction here in the United States.

Dear “Old Enough”, You are obviously a person who has some sense of values. Your tagline says as much.
I believe that what Madison is calling for in his post is local and personal initiative - which is precisely the type of self-government the Founders intended for America. (I make this assumption from my reading not only of the Constitution, but the Federalist Papers.)
To color all who hold strict moral values as “bigots” is to fly in the face of Adams statement that the “...Constitution is suited to the governance of a moral and religious people, it is wholly unsuited to any other...”
This is not to suppose that the non-believer cannot prosper and find happiness in America. The America I know is big enough for the Deist Jefferson, the Evangelical Billy Graham and the Atheist Ayn Rand - all of whom would champion the country, its values and its tolerance.
Tolerance, however, cannot be confused with license, nor can it be allowed to inhibit the natural impetus of each community within the Nation to construct its own ordinances for self-governance. Nowhere in the Bill of Rights will you find a securing of the right to fornicate, pander or debase a community.
If the majority of Americans choose to live in a sewer of licentiousness and filth, then they will find that their nation will soon resemble the Socialist Utopias that both you and I fought to prevent America from becoming.
Are Las Vegas and New Orleans the pinnacle of American culture? I hope not!
Are they part of the fabric of this society? Probably so - but just because a garment has some frayed and dirty edges, that doesn’t mean that the whole doesn’t serve its function.
You took some time to champion the brothel culture of Europe, but in the same post your tagline disavowed the Socialist Culture that is its natural outgrowth.
Which is the symptom and which is the disease is open for debate, but that the two go hand in hand is not.

I agree that no one is forcing me to watch the rubbish on electronic media. When I watch TV, I prefer to put in one of my DVD’s from the Golden Age of both movie and television. Or I don’t watch at all. I’ll read(which is better,anyway) or do something else. Hitting the off switch on the TV is the moral equivalent of flushing a commode. Unfortunately, the stench lingers on in our TV-ized culture in which I must work, shop and live. Just as you have the right to decide what to watch(as do I),I have the right to despise the moral rot in our culture and to actively oppose it.

I understand what your saying. fortunately where I work we have dress codes so there ain’t a lot of butts showing. So it’s drive into the big city work and drive back home. I purposely moved out of Wichita Kansas because of all the crime and gang bangers. we have one main highway through the middle of town going south and north the one I drive to work on every day and you never know when some dumb shit is going to pull a gun on you if he or she felt like you dis them or something so I’d rather not drive around to much in Wichita, and I work 2nd shift so it in town before the 5:00 rush and it out of town after midnight.
Lately I’ve been alternating between second and third shifts. After so long a time on second shift I decided to try third shift and found that I prefer it and would like to stay on it permanently. But management has other ideas.
As a person who supports admendment number 1,I support this poster’s right to post.

The truth is that the Christian faith is STILL the largest religion and is growing in what is called the “global south” of Latin America,Asia,and Africa. The big 3 Christian churches leading in this growth in the global south is the Roman Catholic Church,Anglican,and Pentacostal/Evangelical churches.
Islam comes in second in numbers.
A citation of numbers as Christanity grows and moves southwards.
