Not only Gregorian Chant but Polyphonic chanting is reemerging too...

...unfortunately, the parishionate at large today is far too immersed in the folk group mentality to accept anything as esoteric as Gregorian chant...if I had a nickel for every person I’ve heard in my own parish say “we attend the 9:00 Mass, because we can hear the folk group” I’d be rich indeed...this group’s bouncy rendition of the Gloria is especially hard on me...’Glory to God in the highest, sing glory to God’...where in the text of the Gloria does the phrase ‘sing glory to God’ come in...or is it just me?
