Homosexual Adult Altar-Server Files Human Rights Complaint against Bishop for Dismissal

Jim Corcoran, the owner of one of Canada's largest and most lavish spas, has launched a human rights complaint against the Bishop of Peterborough Ontario for refusing him permission to continue to serve as an altar server.

Corcoran admits that he is homosexual and lives with another homosexual man, but says that he follows the Church's teaching and lives a chaste lifestyle. According to the Catholic Register, Bishop Nicola De Angelis asked Corcoran to accept his decision that he not serve on the altar based upon the bishops' desire to avoid public scandal.

I think it's obvious he's still gay.

Whatever. The point here is or should be that churches, or any other private organization, should have the right to exclude anyone they don’t want for any reason. If the Catholic Church wanted to excommunicate me for wearing white socks to mass, then I’m free to go find another church, but I have no grounds for a lawsuit.

But many statutes passed since 1964, moreso in Canada than here, deny that you have any such right.

We haven’t seen anything yet. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. The left won’t be satified until the Catholic Church is turned into the patriotic Catholic Church.

I haven’t heard of anyone taking the church to the human rights commission before......they too Mark Steyn for quite a ride a couple of years back. I do not forsee this going well.

Looks like an ambulance chasing, money hungry attorney got to him.

Please, Lord, let all this money mongering cease!

Sounds like a mole from the gay mafia. Stay on as an altar boy, molest the other altar boys, let them sue the Catholic Church, skip out leaving the Church with the bill and the additional bad PR.

Firing this creep was the right thing to do.

I think the issue is that he is catering to the homosexual lifestyle, even if he, himself, is not actively homosexual. Right? These spas aren’t at all sexual?

Coming soon to a (U.S) state near you.

To a homo-activist, as he obviously is, "chaste" has a completely different meaning - only one man at a time.

You know, now that you mention, there is a lot of room for weasel-wording behind the word, “chaste.” The Catholic church does speak about chastity within marriage, where sexuality is present, but subordinate to the ends for which it was created. He actually could be asserting that he is monogamous, even though his sexuality is directed towards an end it was not created for.

So to speak.
