Obama is being honored at Notre Dame's graduation, which certainly signifies approval. Notre Dame is sending the message, “We don't like abortion, but we won't hold it against anyone for promoting it.” And why is it that “Nobody is pro-abortion”? If a fetus isn't a human life, why would anyone care at all? And if a fetus is a human life, why is abortion something people merely don't like? If a politician fought for peoples’ right to own slaves, would it make sense for the same politician to assert, “Nobody is pro-slavery”? When it comes to abortion, I won't “move along” just because you offer illogical defenses of people who work to keep the barbaric procedure legal. Why don't you “move along”, Sir?

Methinks somebody forgot to include the ever-important “/sarc” tag at the end of the post
;-) <— an emoticon symbolizing a wink, thus protraying an intent to “tweak” somebody (it’s your guess who is being tweaked)

I am really sick of the LIEbral American Catholic Church. The Pope needs to start firing these people.
These Catholic bishops and employees of Catholic schools promoting speeches by abortionists or involvemnet with ACORN or abortion groups need to become Wal Mart greeters.

Absolutely detestable! Disgusting, he's parading around not only condoning but promoting things God hates all while doing it in the name of God.

I understand your frustration but I feel you're flailing away in (partly) the wrong direction. For instance, here's the number of U.S. Catholic bishops who have supported the Notre Dame power structure in their decision to honor Obama:
~0~
Here's the number of Catholic Bishops who are involved with abortion groups:
~0~
Here's the amount of money the Catholic Bishops Campaign for Human Development is giving to ACORN this year:
~0~
It's true that they gave to ACORN in previous years, but the whistle has been blown and that has been stopped.
As for Catholic schools --- I assume you mean Colleges and Universities --- that's a different story. Many --- most -- of them are way out of line, and have been for 40+ years. But they are not under the direct control of the Bishops, and that's the problem. Most of them were transferred over to the control of lay Boards of Trustees in the late 60's.
That's not news.
The only thing that's news here, is that some bishops are staggering to their feet and groping for their croziers, like old King Theoden of Rohan fumbling his fingers around his sword-hilt (if you saw "The Lord of the Rings")--- and that means, Something's in the air. Things are changing. Someone, finally, is going to stand up and fight.

Jenkins said that Obama is "a remarkable figure in American history and I look forward to welcoming him to Notre Dame."That's simply a racist statement. The ONLY reason That One is sitting in the Oval Office is because's he's black, and the ONLY real reason Jenkins is honoring him is because he's the first Black President. Jenkins didn't invite the last pro-abortion Democrat President to ND, to award him an Honorary Degree; why not, other than the fact that he was white?
And That One isn't remarkable at all. He had not done ONE noteworthy thing before being elected, and the only things of note since then has been the continuing fascist bent of the government attempting to tell companies how to run themselves.
