Please say a prayer if you will for my husband's great-aunt, his mother's only sister.
She died last night, rather suddenly. She was in her late '80s, had never married and took care of their parents until they died.
She was the quintessential old-fashioned Irish Catholic lady, devoted to her local church and to her extended family. She was absolutely thrilled when husband and I converted to the Church, I'm sure she had been praying for us for years.
My husband and his brother are driving up to help my mother in law, who is a great lady but she has been devastated by this. Please keep Helen, my mother in law Doris, and my husband and his brother in your prayers.
Thanks, y'all.

Sharing your sorrow, American Mother ... May the God of All Comfort surround all those who mourn the loss of such a remarkable and beloved Great Aunt. And may each be sustained in the days ahead with many warm memories amid the tears. Amen ...

Sounds like a life of devotion to others; what a wonderful blessing your Aunt must have been to so many people. I will keep your family in my prayers.
God bless her as she goes before the Lord, may she continue to pray for those of us who remain.
