At Georgetown University today, while sitting in the press section at Gaston Hall awaiting the arrival of President Obama for a "major address" on economics, I overheard a reporter discussing the advance text of the speech.
The reporter said that senior presidential adviser David Axelrod had compared Obama during his European trip to one planting seeds for a harvest. Along the same lines, he noted, in today's speech, Obama was set to use another Gospel analogy: that of the "house built upon a rock."
And so it came to pass, beneath Gaston Hall's beautiful painting of Morality, Faith, and Patriotism, with gold letters on the wall behind him spelling the Jesuit motto "Ad majorem Dei gloriam""To the greater glory of God"Obama shared his prosperity gospel at the nation's oldest Catholic university.
But there was one thing missing: Jesus' name.
I'm not just talking about Obama's failing to mention Jesusthough he did pointedly fail to mention the name of the Onethat is, for him, the other "One"who first told the "parable" he shared.
No, Jesus' very name, in the form of the ancient monogram IHS, which had been in gold lettering on the wooden archway above Gaston Hall's dais, was painted over prior to Obama's arrival. Apparently, the Name that is above every other name is not permitted to be above Obama.
The photo [above] shows the archway "before." You can see the "after" clearly in C-SPAN's video, as Georgetown President John DeGioia emerges to give his fawning introduction....

The Jesuits have only one thing left in common with the Marines, they’re looking for a few good men.
Many of the older orders are very bad, but with pockets of orthodoxy or young men joining who are devout who will eventually push out the old fruitcakes and wimps. This cannot really be said of the Jesuits, the order is too corrupted to be reformed, the only hope is young men joining, and covertly resisting the heretical indoctrination in the seminary if necessary, and then perhaps by the Grace of God the order may not need to be (yet again) suppressed.
Obamanation of Desolation.
Or Desecration. In this beautiful and famous hall, I consider obliterating the name of our Lord with a small cross above the monogram to be a desecration in both the artistic and religious sense.
"Let he that is in Judea flee to the hills...."
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.Titus 1:16
Let's take a wild guess since most Americans would not have known what IHS stands for. They didn't want to offend any Muslims because of the cross on top?
In a related story, he asked that all mirrors, garlic, holy water, crucifixes, Bibles, and blessed objects be removed...since "the One" gets a little anxious around such Catholic regalia.
This would have made a great episode of Kolchak: the Night Stalker.
Georgetown allowed this to happen for one simple reason.
It;s a reason I think missed by many and part of the diabolical genius of the socialist marketing campaign.
Georgetown would have never done this for Clinton or any other Dem.
The simple truth is that Obama is black. White people is this country are running scared they refuse to say anything negative out of fear of being branded a racist. — meanwhile the country is being destroyed and everything American citizens hold dear is being destroyed.
Until get the stones to stand up for what is right and ignore or laugh at accusations of racism this country is on the road to destruction
Sounds like a good explanation. Before everyone gets their dander up, it would be useful to know if the school does that when they have other, secular, speakers in that hall. THAT would give an indication about the spirit of this action.
“it would be useful to know if the school does that when they have other, secular, speakers in that hall. THAT would give an indication ...”
I seriously doubt it.
It surprises me that no one has pointed out that, during his extended use the Sermon on the Mount’s image of building a “house upon a rock,” Pres. O inserts a very, very Islamic notion of “five pillars”:
“It was founded upon a rock. We cannot rebuild this economy on the same pile of sand. We must build our house upon a rock. We must lay a new foundation for growth and prosperity — a foundation that will move us from an era of borrow and spend to one where we save and invest; where we consume less at home and send more exports abroad.
It’s a foundation built upon ***five pillars*** that will grow our economy and make this new century another American century: Number one, new rules for Wall Street that will reward drive and innovation, not reckless risk-taking — (applause)...”
Its a foundation built upon ***five pillars*** that will grow our economy and make this new century another American century: Number one, new rules for Wall Street that will reward drive and innovation, not reckless risk-taking (applause)...
That is a very Islamic concept.
Thank you for calling our attention to this remark by Obama.
No go! The Obots already “explained” that they didn’t want their American flag display disturbed. He’s a Muslim Marxist creep; that’s the truth. Bob

According to a report I read, Obama requested that the IHS be removed or covered during his talk. I doubt that other speakers do that.
What reason did they give to cover up the IHS?
