Here’s another story that underlines how ludicrous the media have been in insisting Barack Obama was a natural choice for traditional Catholic and evangelical Christian voters: CNSNews.com correspondent Fred Lucas reports Obama finished stocking the advisory committee of his faith-based initiative with a bang: one new selection was Harry Knox, director of the "religion and faith program" of the gay-left Human Rights Campaign. Just last month, Knox described Pope Benedict XVI and certain Catholic bishops as "discredited leaders" because of their opposition to same-sex marriage.
In addition to his remarks about the Pope, Knox also criticized the Catholic Knights of Columbus as being "foot soldiers of a discredited army of oppression" because of the Knights’ support of Proposition 8 in California last year:

Naw, Catholics and Jews did not. Pseudo intellectual CINOs and JINOs did, and I think this election, is going to be the house cleaning both have needed for a long time. The bishops are riled up, and with any luck will continue to call the cino’s out. I havent heard much from the rabbis, not sure where they are in all of this, but maybe they are being vocal somewhere.

The Catholics who voted for Obama won’t care, because they obviously don’t have any respect for what the Pope has to say anyway. They couldn’t possibly since they voted for a man who supports infanticide.
Perhaps statements like this will wake up the silent majority of Bishops who have been sitting on the sidelines in the ABORTION war.But one does wonder what planet these Bishops are living on.

how refreshing for the totus to have a faith based advisor publicly smearing another faith. this is such a change in how to dialogue about faith.
next perhaps this “faith advisor’ could give obama his take on muslim leadership in Iran Iraq and elsewhere and its views of homosexuality as a stoning offense. also he might want to critique the black churches and also take on the mormons for opposing govt-mandated hommosexual marriage.

Got that right. A man I used to take the bus to work with, a Knight of Columbus, voted for Obama and is still singing his praises.
Support the winning side of a tightly contested election and you are "discredited". Slam planes into building killing thousands and lop off the head of infidels you catch, then you get the President's "deep appreciation for the [religion unmentionable in any negative context] faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world."
