Here’s another story that underlines how ludicrous the media have been in insisting Barack Obama was a natural choice for traditional Catholic and evangelical Christian voters: CNSNews.com correspondent Fred Lucas reports Obama finished stocking the advisory committee of his faith-based initiative with a bang: one new selection was Harry Knox, director of the "religion and faith program" of the gay-left Human Rights Campaign. Just last month, Knox described Pope Benedict XVI and certain Catholic bishops as "discredited leaders" because of their opposition to same-sex marriage.
In addition to his remarks about the Pope, Knox also criticized the Catholic Knights of Columbus as being "foot soldiers of a discredited army of oppression" because of the Knights’ support of Proposition 8 in California last year:

I think you're right. Obama has declared war on the Church. It's clear as day, he plans to take the bishops on and thinks he's got the upper hand since he got 54% of the so called Catholic vote. We are in for some scary days ahead. Pray for the gift of perseverance.

The man won with 54% of the vote. Catholics and Jews are still a minority in this country...he needed and got a whole lot of protestant votes too. We ALL need to be aware that our Faith is under attack. He's hostile to us all, Catholic Jew and Protestant.

An excellent question. From the Freemasonry point-of-view, there is no problem at all with Catholics being in the Brotherhood. Indeed, I know a few who are. From the Church’s point-of-view, I don’t know. I have raised the fact that I was a Freemason once with the Priest and he didn’t seem too exercised about it — which is, admittedly, not the same at all as saying he condoned it or permitted it. I’ll have to press the question at some point, I guess...
