“Don’t let the door of the Church hit you in the a$$ on your way out of Virginia, there, Mr. Bishop!”

Good riddance! I am glad he will no longer be polluting the Commonwealth by his presence here.

The last three sentences are brilliant. They capsualize the issues with the church since the seduction of Gene “Mrs.” Robinson.

This poor fool’s opinions are mild in comparison to some supposed Anglican bishops who deny the Virgin Birth, the inspiration of Holy Scripture, the Blood Atonement and the very deity of Christ.

At least 6 of those who will be received into full communion (with the See of Rome) at this year's Easter Vigil are refugees from the Episcopal Church.

There are times when I really suffer over this. On the one hand, I love being a husband and father and lay Catholic. On the other hand, I feel ripped off by being invited to go to Seminary and receive bogus "holy orders" and put my wife, my daughter, and myself through the troubles we went through. Every where one went one heard people saying, "Via Media", "catholic with a lower case 'c'", "Scripture, Reason, and Tradition". But if there was ever any resistance to the prince of this world, it was in only among individuals and rarely, if ever, in the institutions of TEC.

While it has been redeemed many times over, it was still in some senses a pathetic and embarrassing waste of time. I feel a certain tug or impulse, if it were possible, to contact everyone whose confession I heard, every person on whom I laid hands or whom I anointed, every communicant before whom I presided at the Eucharist and to whom I distributed what I thought were the body and blood of Our Lord. Somebody, somehow needs to tell them it was all false.

Yes, IHS can and does act outside the Catholic Church. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that we assured them -- I assured them -- of something about which no assurance could rightly be given.

Some folks wondered what 815 had on him to get him to suddenly change his position. Heading to California? Perhaps the truth will start to come out now.
