Chad Hardy’s BYU Honor Code Review
Youtube

Posted on 03/06/2009 5:22:10 PM PST by delacoert

In a letter dated September 29, 2008, Chad Hardy, producer of the infamous Men on a Mission Calendars and website, received a letter from Brigham Young University informing him that his name had been removed from the August 15, 2008 graduation roll. The letter stated that he would not be awarded his BA degree in Communication Studies because he had been excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on July 13, 2008, a month before graduation.

All of his required coursework had already been completed prior to the church discipline. He was not required to abide by the schools strict Honor Code because he finished his coursework online from his home in Las Vegas, NM. The only recourse given to him to get his diploma was to come back to full fellowship with the LDS Church.

Brigham Young University failed to follow their own policies and procedures in disciplining Hardy and revoking his degree. Two weeks later, Hardy was denied and exception from BYU policy and will not be awarded his degree.

This series of videos is the actual recording from the official University Review with BYU Dean of Students, Vernon Heperi.

Mormon Wolves
"I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.

Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.

So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears."

(Acts 20:29-31)

There is nothing “painful” about my beliefs. Quite the contrary. They are my greatest comfort.

So I'll ask the religion mod, given Hardy's public statements about his support for homosexual causes a la Prop. 8 why is FR allowed to be used as a platform to promote his agenda?

Be specific.

What particular posts or statements do you read as gay activism?

Few people are as fanatically anti-Mormon as those who leave the church, then spend the rest of their lives trying to justify that choice by tearing down the church.

People that are fanatically MORMON - those who LOVE the church and it's culture and support system; spend the rest of their lives trying to justify that choice by ignoring all the documented facts against the church.

The Bible mentions baptism for the dead, with no explanations.

It ALSO mentions DEMON POSSESSION; but SOME on FR laugh about it.

Explain.

+++++

The article posted be E makes the point that because Joseph Smith did not tell all of his First Vision each and every time he told it, it proves the Vision to be false.

Paul talks about his First Vision a few times, and he does not tell all the facts in all of his tellings,
so
by the standard set by E's author, Paul must be lieing about his Vision.

You may not believe that Joseph Smith had a Vision of the Father and the Son, that is ok, that is between you and Father.

To make stuff up and/or use misleading tactics to prove your beliefs just is not right.

1 Cor 15

29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

****

There are some mainstream faith who feel very strongly about baptism and prays upon their minds that if their love one is not baptized.

Than there are those who delight in debunking this opportunity more than letting their love one who was not baptized on the other side to choose for themselves to accept or not this chance.

They get testy and ornery over this Ordinance etc. which is totally voluntary on both sides.

One chooses to perform or participate and the being on the other side of the veil chooses to accept of reject this vicarious gift.

***

I have a friend who was a co worker who was in his late 30’s started getting a roaming eye and so I talked to him and introduce him to the Book of Mormon and encourage him to read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and he also met with the missionaries a few times.

But his family his wife gave him a hard time and so did his sister who was Pentecostal. Because of he Love for the Lord he bridle his roaming eye.

But later on he joined some church with his daughter and I respected that. He told me he want to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS but that his wife and family gave him a hard time.

Months later his brother was killed and he worried so much about him not being baptized and I was at the time going through my breast cancer and was very sick so I was not tune in.

I had heard he was so troubled by his one evening at work the passenger elevators were not working so he was about to take the guess up in the freight elevator he unlocked the door and step in and fell because the car was not there he died many hours later.

All because of fear that the church he belong to taught if you are not baptized you will go to hell, and he worried about his brother.

Had I not been sick I could have reminded him of this choise for his brother and his worries might not have consumed his life.

Please respect this and not try to pick at it!

HA Ha ha!

You may not believe that Joseph Smith had a Vision of the Father and the Son, that is ok, that is between you and Father. The MORMONS are the ones that get to explain WHY they BELIEVE that the Father showed up with a Body of FLESH; saying, "This is my son - listen to him."

And the HIM never says a word!

This statement seems to indicate a feeling of having powers over another's life. Mere mortals do not have that power.

"I had heard he was so troubled by his one evening at work"
....hearsay.

Please respect this and not try to pick at it!

Sorry, dear....such blatant propaganda cries for being "picked at".
