Chad Hardy’s BYU Honor Code Review
Youtube
Posted on 03/06/2009 5:22:10 PM PST by delacoert
In a letter dated September 29, 2008, Chad Hardy, producer of the infamous Men on a Mission Calendars and website, received a letter from Brigham Young University informing him that his name had been removed from the August 15, 2008 graduation roll. The letter stated that he would not be awarded his BA degree in Communication Studies because he had been excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on July 13, 2008, a month before graduation.
All of his required coursework had already been completed prior to the church discipline. He was not required to abide by the schools strict Honor Code because he finished his coursework online from his home in Las Vegas, NM. The only recourse given to him to get his diploma was to come back to full fellowship with the LDS Church.
Brigham Young University failed to follow their own policies and procedures in disciplining Hardy and revoking his degree. Two weeks later, Hardy was denied and exception from BYU policy and will not be awarded his degree.
This series of videos is the actual recording from the official University Review with BYU Dean of Students, Vernon Heperi.

This is where some folks want you to look and they want you not to know about the problems he had with the code of conduce he agreed to when he accepted his stewardship as a student at BYU.Uh...
Just what part of the 'code' did he break?

When he enrolled online, the university would have had no way of knowing about the pending excommunication.WHAT!!??
The MOrg communication link is THAT weak??
How did the 'school' KNOW about ANYTHING this fellow did, then?

Because the item did not specify the only other conduct that was raised with Mr. Hardy in the proceeding, which is non-excommunicable conduct, it left the clear implication that Mr. Hardy was guilty of some excommunicable conduct. How DARE you use actual FACTS to back up what you claim!
This is NOT the MORMON Way; you... you... GENTILE you!!

He was given an opportunity to refute any allegations of immorality, but he refused to do so. If he was really interested in correcting the record and clearing his good name, he could have done so at the appeal. But thats not what he wanted to do.Uh...
Just WHAT was he ALLEDGED to have done??
Matthew 26:62-64
62. Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?"
63. But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God."
Mark 14:60-62
60. Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?"
61. But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?"
Acts 8:32-33
The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

The intent behind the calendar is what was the issue. It's purpose is to illicit a sexual response from whoever buys it. BIG TIME MINDREADING HERE!

79. An interview on a gay web site, identifying Chad Hardy as a member of the GLBT community.I can see how MORMONs 'accept' the words of ANYONE that can tar and feather whomEVER they oppose.

What part of it did he fail to follow?
They tried to nail him on not wearing his "holy underwear" and not tithing. There were also claims of a (hetero)sexual relationship with a female co-worker.

Elsie, let me see if I can get this all straight.
The fellow either finished all his university requirements, graduated with his class but did not receive the actually physical diploma because sometime in there he made the calendar. So BYU will not give him the document because he violated the code, but no one knows what code.
Or he was excommunicated half way through his studies but the university let him continue to attend, excepting his money, finished his studies and has now said no document because of the violation of the code which no knows what was violated.
Or it was a set up from the beginning because he is a homosexual and spent all this money and time, working with the homosexual activist in California to embarrasses lds.
Or (ok I cant remember the other scenarios).
Help me out here.
Just as a side note it is amazing is it not that the ldsers on FR are willing to believe some random homosexual web site about this fellow but not the former ldsers on FR about their experiences within lds.
