I was thinking of attending there worship. I have admired many of thier teachings on Sabbath Observance Healthy Living, Chatiable Giving and Prophetic teachings. However I am not sure if all thier doctrine is sound.
I understand Ellen G White is the founder of this church In brief, she was a woman of remarkable spiritual gifts who lived most of her life during the nineteenth century (1827-1915), yet through her writings she is still making a revolutionary impact on millions of people around the world.
During her lifetime she wrote more than 5,000 periodical articles and 40 books; but today, including compilations from her 50,000 pages of manuscript, more than 100 titles are available in English. She is the most translated woman writer in the entire history of literature, and the most translated American author of either gender.
Her writings cover a broad range of subjects, including religion, education, social relationships, evangelism, prophecy, publishing, nutrition, and management. Her life-changing masterpiece on successful Christian living, Steps to Christ, has been published in more than 140 languages. Seventh-day Adventists believe that Mrs. White was more than a gifted writer; they believe she was appointed by God as a special messenger to draw the world's attention to the Holy Scriptures and help prepare people for Christ's second advent. From the time she was 17 years old until she died 70 years later, God gave her approximately 2,000 visions and dreams.
Who are the Apostate Churches today? can they easily be recognized?. It is simple to recognize apostate teachings, such as acceptance of homosexuality or teaching another way of salvation other than Jesus Christ, but is there additional teachings of apostate we should be looking for?...If we are not observing the Saturday Sabbath are we apostate? Thoughts on this?
Roman calendar vs the Jewish one. Roman converts {Gentiles} used the Roman calendar and Jews the Hebrew calendar. Sabbath in the Jewish calendar IIRC began at dusk on Friday and ran till dusk Saturday. IMO it doesn't matter what day a person uses. The Sabbath was made for mans well being a day of physical rest the body requires and spiritual renewal the spirit requires.
I think Christ addressed the issue of many churches early on. His Disciples were jealous over another group preaching and healing in His name. Such jealousy still continue into this age between the churches.
We do them as thanksgiving, not as a means to get us to heaven..Agreed but in Simple terms I think many times we do *Good Works* to be in the good graces of GOD..
Meaning: A Child might not want to clean his room, yet he will do it to please his mother, or maybe he will do it so he can play outside...
Our motivations can vary why we do good works...
I understand.....But when Paul did speak about the Apostate Church I was just thinking he was referring to the Sabbath
just not sure, what Church was *Apostate* in his day that would come about in our day.
And you won't find one.
It was changed by a decree of a Caesar, Constantine, I believe.
Now, how much that matters depends on how much of a biblical literalist you want to be, but for those who say it doesn't, Saturday should work just as well for you.
For the record, I'm not much of a biblical literalist, but I enjoy the debate until it gets nasty.

Christ spoke of His Church in Matthew 16. If HE was the Christ, and He was and is, then His Church would be the Church of Christ.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14, NKJV). If Jesus died for our sins - and He did - then clearly His fullness of grace is for our salvation.
Now show me where Paul taught those topics.

Nope. Each new group is a new group teaching a new gospel.

An apostate church is a building in which people sit once a week and have their sins validated by the "pastor" and one at which anything and everything that is in opposition to God and His Word is celebrated and encouraged.
You can’t explain all the Scripture that calls Jesus God, assumes He is God, and gives Him attributes of God. For example, by Him all things were made, and nothing was made that was made (John 1). He is worshipped (without rebuke). He can’t sin.
Further, insulting words are not the mark of a Christian man.
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
The Bible calls Him God and so do I. The Bible also calls Him Son of God and so do I.
Jesus had many commandments and principles. I don’t think He necessarily meant the Ten Commandments. Check the NT and read what He expects of His followers.

I agree, I think He meant all of them. I think the Ten Commandments are just a concise list of God’s entire law.
Correct...But we (are to) view them differently...Those who live under the Law, will be judged by the law...Those who seek salvation by folling the law will also be judged by the law...
The law (10 commandments) apply differently to Christians...We are not judged by the law...We have been given salvation, freely by God's grace, if we only believe in Him...
Does that negate the law??? Not at all...
As Jesus said, the law becomes our schoolmaster...It is to teach us, not condemn us...And if we violate the law, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ...Who, is willing and able to forgive us our sins...
Cool...Now you can car pool with the rest of the congregation down to the gin mill...
I understand the differences in their ministries (and intended audiences) but the way you stated it Paul was teaching a different message all together.
