When do religious broadcasters want the Fairness Doctrine? When hell freezes over.

Chalk up another vote against the Fairness Doctrine – this one from religious broadcasters.

“If I happen to say declaratively that the Bible tells me that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and nobody comes to the Father but by Him,” said Christian talk show host Janet Parshall, “I am not interested in giving equal time to Buddha, Hinduism, or L. Ron Hubbard.”...

We need more street preachers in America, handing out gospel tracts. Church attendance is dropping like flies in this now secular land.

I think if the dims think this through they won’t have anything to do with the fairness doctrine NPR,CBS,NBC,ABC,virtually every large newspaper will be forced into it by the many lawsuits that will surley come.

IIRC, the Kennedy Administration used the "Fairness Doctrine" to hammer the religious broadcasters into submission. This was way before ecumenicism and the Protestants were furious about there being a Catholic President. IRS may have been used also.

Fairness Doctrine

Would someone be able to explain how it is that a censorship bill acquired the Fairness label?

If that person could explain that then perhaps, they could also point to the part of the Constitution that empowered government to determine what an American citizen could and not hear.
