**As Catholics, we are not guiltless. It seems to me that when President Kennedy compromised Catholic teachings and accommodated political pressures in order to be elected to the highest office in the land, he set the tone for many Catholic leaders to follow and to compromise their Catholic principles to get ahead.**

This is the first time I have really seen someone tell it like it is about Catholic politicians. Especially dimocrat Catholic politicians.

Wow! Can we say this?

**I may courageously say that I am willing to die to end abortion, but am I equally willing to say that I am ready to let my ego get ruffled daily for the same cause? Yet … that is where I need to arrive if I am to be a credible witness.**

President Obama, pro-choice legislators and Planned Parenthood are not our enemies. Our enemies are the invisible forces masked behind these people. Most of them do not have a clue that they are being deceived by our common enemy, the devil. They are used by our common enemy, Satan, and his evil forces, to get us to hate so that we, too, will end up in a culture of death.

So good to hear this Bishop attacking the disease rather than the symptoms....and warning of the danger of becoming as those we loathe through our very loathing.

While I agree wholehartedly with the sentiments of prayer and fasting, there are 2 things I must add, as a longtime pro life warrior.

1. In order to shake up the slumbering Catholics, severe sanctions MUST be imposed UPON CINOS in the public eye who promote, support, or condone murdering children in the womb so we do not look like we are condoning their actions. The debate on abortion is OVER in the Church. It is murder. I am SURE that no apostle would allow them to break bread until they publicly repented of their sin AND lived it, regardless of their next election.

2. People today are quite like ostriches. They put their head in the sand and only pull it out to see what they want to see. While urging them to prayer is excellent, it is ineffectual while the scales remain firmly fixed over their eyes. The next step toward fixing this problem is, in addition to doing the above (which would shake up a good number of catholics) Anti Abortion warriors need to fight fire with fire. A picture is worth a thousand words. Post pictures of aborted fetuses EVERYWHERE. Online, On your blog, on billboards, newsletters. OFFEND PEOPLE. Abortion is OFFENSIVE. These people are hard of hearing. They are not hard of seeing OR hard hearted. They feel, they love, they care. They are just DEAF to these facts. It is not their fault really. They HAVE been duped, decieved and they do not even know it. Show them, melt them, save them.

We are exhorted not to let our brother fall in a ditch. We are looking at millions wandering aimlessly in a ditch and we are afraid to offend them? Do you think our judgement will not be swift and just when we say to God almighty, well, I didn’t want to offend them? Get used to hearing Get Thee Behind me SATAN!

Pray, but fight. This is OUR CRUSADE..........

Wow, when have we seen such an unequivocal yet also inspiring (and clear to the most simple person in the pews) statement from a bishop? Vatican, what are you waiting for? Why not make this good man the Archbishop now!? Don’t let this talent be wasted floundering in an administrative role. Bishop Hermann seems like the perfect guy to follow Archbishop Burke.
