Lies and class envy. Perhaps you would feel more at home at some other DUmb website.
If the church was anything like your portray, it would neither be growing nor prosperous. Nor would faithful members tent to be successful, prosperous, well-educated people respected in their communities. We have the fruit on the tree, and it makes you mad.

CLASS ENVY !!!!
Joe Smith was less than trailer trash...
Perhaps you would feel more at home at some other DUmb website.

I’m sure the folks here will be interested to know you think that their website is dumb...
I dont happen to think its dumb... ...
I love Free Republic...
And I wont be run off by threats from any of mormonism’s “hounds for hire...
Danite anti-Christian tactics dont work on me..
***We have the fruit on the tree, and it makes you mad.****
So did the Marcionites, Manachees and Paulicians. Seen any lately?
Are we talking of the Islamic faith??
If the church was anything like your portray, it would neither be growing nor prosperous
_____________________________________________
Well, that’s true its not...
Stealing sheep from other churches and padding the membership rolls with millions of dead people is not church growth...
And theivery and cheating members and then misusing “church” funds just to build $2 BILLION malls for an elite few to benefit from is not prosperity...
God is not in that...
Nor would faithful members tent to be successful, prosperous, well-educated people respected in their communities.
___________________________________________
That’s right they’re not...
mormons demand 10% of the members gross income...
Name me 10% of the members that came to the morg dirt poor and now are “successful, prosperous, well-educated people respected in their communities. “ ...
You can keep it down to those worth $10 Million
And to make it easy on yourself...Honduras comes to mind...
Got that list of 1,300,000 members ready yet ?????
We have the fruit on the tree, and it makes you mad.

I dont know what type of fruit or tree you are talking about so I’ll just teach you a bit...
Now when the Bible mentions “fruit” that doesnt mean the type of fruit and nuts you would find in the mormon cult...
The fruit mentioned in the Bible is the type associated with the God of the Bible...
mormons have nothing to do with the God of the Bible..
Now if you are partaking of the tree that you think you might have, Adam and Eve got tossed out of Eden for doing that...
If you think you have the OTHER tree...well you dont...
As for getting mad...whatever for ????
Nah, I was too busy laughing at first...
But now...well, I just think you are rather sad...
And need to get saved...
Now dont bother thanking me...
My pleasure...
Jesus told me to preach the Gospel...
And teach the nations...
It’s my belief He wanted us to include lost-as-a-goose-in-a-snowstorm mormons also...
What a revealing post! I don't see ANYTHING in your description of "successful" that wouldn't apply to earthly wealth!
Equating a church's success to "prosperity" of the members instead of service to His children is very reminiscent of the drive to attain wealth and earthly power by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, and it is obviously, in your mind, still the yardstick to measure by. That's why organizations such as the Salvation Army put the LDS to shame in the field of serving their fellow man.
The vow of consecration taken in a temple oath in LDS temples Is oh, so in tune with this:
You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion
Where, oh where, in either your description of success, or in this vow, is mention of Christian goals? Mormonism is all about earthly attainment and especially all about building up the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" in numbers and wealth rather than about glorifying God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
And, oh, BTW, I know MANY poor and working-class mormons...they just don't happen to be among the church leaders..those callings seem to be linked to "prosperity".
Wrong.
I'll tell you who a good Christian is one who serves and loves the Lord, not worried about stuff and standing.
Let me give you an example of what I mean. My foster father died a few years ago, the eight of us surrounding him in his last day praising and worshiping with him as he approached going home to be with the Lord. After the last breath of course there was a tear or two but there was much rejoicing and singing.
My foster mother pulled a sealed envelope out of her bag, opened it. It was a letter he had written her to be read when he died.
She read to herself the personal items, then read this paragraph: G I could not give you things but I am able to leave with with eight children and spouses that love the Lord and 35 grandchildren and those who are married spouses who love the Lord.
That is a good Christian. No stuff, no standing - just pure love for the Lord.
Out of the eight kids and spouses all are involved with their local churches. One travels the world preaching and teaching. One and their spouse plant churches. Out of the 35 grandchildren and spouses all are involved in their local churches and six are involved in church plantings.
And you know what none of them have bupkis, noda, nothing to speak of because it is not stuff and standing that makes one a good Christian.
And truly I find your portrayal of stuff and standing to somehow make ldsers superior - offensive.
