Pray for the Supreme Court Today
Free Republic | 1/9/09 | Kevmo

Posted on 01/09/2009 9:32:42 AM PST by Kevmo

Please pray that God will grant wisdom to the 9 members of the Supreme Court.

Today the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) considers whether or not to hear arguments in a constitutional issue of monumental importance. It is the case of Berg v Obama, where the eligibility of President Elect Obama is called into question.

This case is unique in that it has been scheduled for 2 conferences. There are other cases as well, such as Keyes v Lingle, Broe v Reed, et al. A current listing of eligibility lawsuits can be found here. http://www.therightsideoflife.com/?page_id=1518

So this is the week of significance, before Obama would be sworn in by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Please pray that God will grant wisdom to the 9 members of the Supreme Court.

A good time to do that is for a few seconds at lunch time each day from January 9 to January 20. Just a few seconds. Or maybe just once... today.

If you feel the need to express a tiny bit more activism, try the "Prayer, Pebble, Postage" approach. Carry around a small pebble in your pocket, and whenever you touch it, pray for God to grant wisdom to the SCOTUS members. If you feel the need to send the pebble, letting them know you've been praying for them and any comments, here is the address of the SCOTUS.

“Berg v Obama, where the eligibility of President Elect Obama is called into question”

Now that our congress sheeple have determined that he’s bona fide, the question should be `ripe’.

Would it be safe to say that if the outcome is not as you would have it, then God did not grant them the requisite wisdom?

As I said on another thread, we might as well give up. The SC won’t do a thing even it Obama admitted he was born in Kenya.

Meaningful suggestion. There is no better way to change things for the better than prayer followed by Biblical action.

Thank you for the article.

Actually, when I clicked on your user page, I realize that what I set up here is a PRAYER thread rather than a caucus thread. Can you please consider this to be a prayer thread moving forward? Note already that FReepers are trying to tug at the debate thing. They can open some other thread themselves if they want debate.

Prayer threads are closed to debate of any kind.
Devotional threads are closed to debate of any kind.

Caucus threads are closed to any poster who is not a member of the caucus.

For instance, if it says “Catholic Caucus” and you are not Catholic, do not post to the thread. However, if the poster of the caucus invites you, I will not boot you from the thread.
The “caucus” article and posts must not compare beliefs or speak in behalf of a belief outside the caucus.

***If you’re giving up on prayer then God help you. And it wouldn’t really be edifying for you to encourage others to give up on prayer on a prayer thread.

I’ll never give up on prayer. But sometimes I have to accept that my desire is not God’s will.

if they hear the case... that would be a major step forward. ALL other courts have dismissed all other cases without being heard. why? because if the case is heard, the judge would have to demand the BC in order to rule on it. at that point, the cat would be out of the bag and the game would be over.

if they do not even hear the case, i would sure like to know their reasoning over something so freaking trivial.

this whole issue should send up red flags for the future. if they have the fix in for something so trivial as a birth certificate, just imagine how tough it'll be to hold them accountable on real issues.

“..God did not grant them the requisite wisdom?”

God grants them the wisdom alright, but what they are doing with it is another matter.

Also pray for our safety and for our police and firefighters should the SCOTUS decide Obama is ineligible. The Rodney King riots will look like table tennis compared to what will be wrought upon America. Which is exactly why the ruling will never go that way regardless.

I imagine it will be as hard to hold them accountable, as it has been for just about any administration.

God already knows what is going to happen, so this probably isn’t an issue with Him.
