LC: You excerpted the following from the Book of Mormon (in you usual pretty colors as usual) the following: “For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things. “

Now take a deep breath and instead of focusing on the pretty colors read the following words from the Book of Mormon. “For if I will, saith the Lord of Host ..I will command my people; OTHERWISE...”

It is somewhat complicated but read that section slowly. Remove the colors if you need to. It might make is more understandable for you.

This means that plural marriage is ONLY acceptable when the LORD commands. Not any other time. It doesn’t mean that plural marriage is never acceptable. The LORD also said, “Thou shalt not kill.” The LORD subsequently commanded the children of Israel to kill women and children in war situations. I can’t explain that as I can’t explain plural marriage.

But I have faith that God is perfect and his judgements are just.

No

it

doesn't.

It MEANS exactly what it says.

The 'people' DID harken to those things and GOD had to use HIS power, thru the United States Governmemt, to END them!
