This story has changed a lot since it was first published. There was much more to this story the first time I read about it.

Doesn’t look like any angel to me; it looks like the reflection of a high intensity fluorescent fixture like the type that are common in hospital examination rooms. The best clue is that the central reflection, which is obviously a secondary reflection of the one to the right, is absent from the reflections on the floor.
