A Church of England clergyman has banned the popular hymn O Little Town of Bethlehem from his Christmas services because he claims it does not reflect the true state of the town believed by Christians to be the place of Jesus' birth.

“That just isn’t what it is like there at the moment. It isn’t still and peaceful, it is full of tension and anger and fearful people.

Mr Coulter visited the Middle East last month along with a group of 30 parishioners and said he was shocked by the security wall.

I never knew it was supposed to be a reflection of the current state of the town.

It seems the Vicar is very misguided.

Mayhap he needs to separate his religion from his politics. ;-)

I’m shocked that he was shocked by a wall. If he wanted a real shock he should have been around to see some of the work of the murderous thugs for whom that wall was designed. I think useful idiot is more apropos in regard to the Vicar.

Allow me to translate:

The Muslims overrunning his country have bought him off or
The Muslims overrunning his country have threatened him.

There is no other explanation.

Didn’t the Palestinan Martyr’s Brigade use the Church of the Nativity as their own urinal a few years ago?

Guess the Vicar is sad that it lost its stable fecal ambiance.

They have trashed it more than once.

There is a reason for the security wall, just as there is a reason for the season.

And then the part of a Paliwood Theater Productions immorality play that the Vicar swallowed hook, line, and sinker:

While he was there he was given a wooden Nativity scene which had been carved by a Bethlehem carpenter, with a fence separating Jesus’ crib and the three wise men.

Perhaps someone can provide some guidance with a two-by-four upside his vacant head.

Clearly the good Vicar knows something about the Second Coming that you don’t.

Apparently his Bishop and congregants agree with him or he wouldn't have a job.

The only reason these lefty boneheads can do this is because they get away with it. They got no downside to worry about.

Well I doubt that I'm ever going to be putting on robes and working in the pulpit, but I appreciate the kind words. I can only 'do my best, and trust Jesus for the rest', and I know myself well enough to know I generally keep the Big Guy busy.

Merry Christmas to you and yours! :)
