The painting above was a gift to a regional embassy south of Baghdad and was presented to the staff as such. Understand that this particular painting is illustrating much about what Islam, in its true nature, actually represents.
Unlike Christianity, where one would not see Jesus Christ welding a sword and cutting down those that oppose him, instead the viewer sees a violent action occurring that is quite normal in Islamic society. The painting revels several points about the ideology of Islam.
First, the single attacker is being killed by the faceless Muhammad, as is the group as a whole. The Army, which stands in opposition in the foreground, is waiting or held at bay by the strength of this prophet.
Second, the representation of each single person, group, and army is more than what is represented on the face of the painting. Last, the painting reveals that no mere man can destroy Islam, whether in a group or large army. This tells us about what Islam has conveyed to its followers. The individual represents all men and their individual attempt in destroying Islam (Muhammad), the group represents organizations in their attempt to surround Islam, but are cut down.
Finally, the army in the distance is any nation that attacks Islam and is held back by the faceless prophet. In order for Islam to be countered, it must be a joint effort by all three groups. The painting serves as an important insight and intelligence value on how Muslims view themselves compared to the rest of the world.
Most maddening is how political correctness prevents the Muslim threat from being undertsood and met.
Liberals believe, and have brainwashed generations of our young into believing, that human nature has somehow actually changed since the Gates of Vienna in 1683.
Human nature has not changed. Neither has the evil and violent nature of Islam.

How can an American embassy display a painting of the victorious Mohammed of Islam when our courthouses cannot have a donated display of the 10 commandments?
The ACLU is MIA as usual when the religion imposing itself on the State is not Christianity.

There is no such animal.
What is with “Vanity Republic” these days?
I thought depictions of Mohamm’n’eggs were considered blasphemous.
YEah - it’s called the US Regional Embassy located in Al Hillah Iraq - Central South region...
so - yes - there is such an animal....
notice his face is yellow and head cloaked in green - colors of Islam - so this is okay under their belief system - plus it shows him as a victorious leader among many...
There is no such thing as a regional embassy in Iraq. There is a Regional U.S. Embassy Office in Al-Hillah. REO Al-Hillah serves as the administrative support platform for four Provincial Reconstruction Teams. Big difference.
And our pant-striped cookie-pushers accept this Islamic c-r-a-p.
I’m not down on all diplomats. I was in Uzbekistan when the U.S. ambassador visited us at Camp K2. Very capable sort, overseeing the building of a brand new embassy in Tashkent. He wasn’t one of those who got us kicked out of UZ in 2005.
Look dude - I spent 3 tours there - the mailing address is listed as REO AL HILLAH - which means Regional Embassy Office - what was in 2003-2006 was just that. They brought in the Provisional Reconstruction Team (PRT)mid-2006 and assigned them to each of the five provinces in the Central South - being Karbala, Babil (where Al Hillah is located or what was known as Babylon), Kut/Wasit, An Najaf, and Qadisiyah (Diwaniyah). Don’t get caught up in the little website. It’s a fully manned diplomatic post that houses the foreign mission for the US. If your over there - might want to check it out - mingle with the locals - they’ll the same.
Have nice night.
This office is attached to the Embassy, but it is primarily responsible for logistic support. It doesn't house "the foreign mission for the US." I know the current Management Officer in Baghdad. I served five years Riyadh during the Gulf War and two years in Iran 1977-79, including being there during the overthrow of the Shah and the arrival of Khomeini.
Have a nice night.
This is for everyone who actually cares:
From “Kabar” who was a 22 yr FSO veteran: “There is only one Embassy in Iraq and it is located in Baghdad. And we have only one Ambassador in Iraq and he is located in Baghdad.”
Correct - I never said that we didn’t. I said that it was a “Regional” Embassy - which is what it is. It was the FSO’s that accepted the painting - not the DSS side of the house. I never said that it had an ambassador there - but it does more than the “logisitical” center that you think it is. It promotes the US foreign policy from that “diplomatic post” - hence why it is called a regional embassy - it oversees the REGION. Your upset because of what the painting portrays and diverting the entire message over whether this is a “legit” place of US Foreign presence. It has everything that the Main Embassy in Baghdad has - I’m not going into particulars, but there it is - have a good morning - I know I will since I served there and know exactly what it does.
