Posted by svcw For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises. Now that the Non-denominational category has been established, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome. Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here. The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern." Additional anonymity can be gained by sending a request or praise to svcw via FReepmail.

The following are the seeds to start this thread, as found in the Monday Devotional thread from this past Monday and during the week.

I would ask a special prayer at this time that the enemies of this country will be thwarted, whether they are within or outside the country. I would also ask for Blessings on those who lead us, at any level, that they will do so in righteousness. Amen

I would add a plea that the situation with Russia and Georgia be resolved quickly with no further loss of life.

Please keep in your prayers graybeard58 who is recovering from emergency surgery and complications from that surgery. May God speed his recovery and bless him and his family during this difficult time:

‘I have a personal family situation that I would like for you to pray for God's intervention in. My daughter is hearbroken over problems involving the placement of her very small grandchildren in temporary foster care. She and her husband cannot gain temporary custody for some time, due to intra state regulations. Please pray that this is resolved quickly so that the girls may come to Nana and Papa. ‘

Adding the request for prayers for Honest Conservative: "HonestConservative joined the DC Chapter at our weekly Walter Reed FReep last friday. Shortly after she returned home to PA on saturday, her brother called her to let her know that their mother had suddenly died that afternoon. Please keep Honest and her family in your thoughts and prayers."

Praise goes up for the safe arrival of svcw's new grandson, Gabriel! We're looking forward to pictures!

Please offer prayers for the safety of our children as the school systems start up now and little ones run to and fro too focused upon friends and the where-they-need-to-be than on looking for traffic.

My own father has congestive heart failure and is not well. Please pray for salvation before he goes to meet the Lord.

My friend Brian is home but today was in a whole lot of pain. His wife was very discouraged. She is going to be induced in two weeks so please pray that all goes well, that she isn’t in labor long, and that the baby is healthy, with no problems. They’ve been through so much.

please pray for my unborn baby as I am having an ultrasound on the 18th to look for congenital heart defects along with any other problems. My husband and I lost our first baby due to major heart defects and this will be the first time the doctors get a good look at this baby. I am very worried although I know it is all in God’s hands. Thank you for any prayers.

Please pray for the family of a pilot working in Papua, Indonesia. He died in a crash last week, leaving behind his wife and five children.

Just added to the printout list ... I print them out and read them. Must be somewhat amusing to the Lord that I have to put on glasses and read prayer requests to remeber them. So glad He has a great sense of humor.

I have Ovarian Cancer, stage 3 with luck and go to surgery Monday.
It is usually in late stages when diagnosed because of the vague symptoms which I wrote off because I thought I was just getting old.
I will keep you all in mind and if anyone has been thru this, I would appreciate a note.

Please pray for:

A dear friend of mine who is looking for a job. Please pray that she gets the perfect job for her in God's will very soon.

Also, please pray for a co-worker, Diane, whose son was killed in a motorcycle accident last week, causing her to have to rush home in grief. Please pray for her and her family's comfort and strength.
