I have joyous news tempered by some unfortunate diagnostic information.
My wife, the luscious Rambette, is carrying our fourth child, due sometime around February 15th. The problem is she's now been to the emergency room twice for spotting. Both times turned out to be no danger of a miscarriage, but we were told there may be some separation of the placenta. That means that it can be expected to either resolve itself, or it could conceivably get worse and result in miscarriage.
We are trusting God and we covet your prayers for full healing and a safe, healthy delivery.
Congratulations!
I’ll pray, but just know that most of these resolve. I spotted with each of my pregnancies and still ended up with two healthy babies.
It is a good excuse for her to put her feet up while you take care of the laundry, the shopping, the other three kids, the sweeping, vacuuming and mopping, and just about anything except thinking happy thoughts. (I’m an old wife as well as a Family Doc. So believe my old tales.)
You all are in our prayers, and I put you all on our email prayerlist at church.

Prayer bump.
You are the Author and Giver of life, and we acknowledge You as the Creator of this unborn child. You have fashioned and formed this baby and now we seek Your protection so that he can be brought to full birth at the appointed time. Grant Your powerful healing to Rambette's body so that the baby can remain in the warmth and blessing of the womb until birth. We trust in You, Lord, and pray that You would bring great joy and peace to this special family. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
My brother’s wife went through the same thing; it’s nerve-wracking, I know. She had an ultrasound that showed some placenta separation, and the doctors were optimistic, but there was always that worry. She gave birth three weeks ahead of her due date to a healthy, 9 pound 6 ounce baby boy. Prayers up for your child.
