Wow! That is a bunch of stuff packed into a simple statement by the Lord...

But then again, like the Mormons, the Catholics look at the scripture through the lens of the current traditions, whether it is the BOM or the latest Catechism, the tradition always takes precedence over the words of Jesus and the God-breathed scripture...

I want to see you explain to Jesus Calling His Mother The terrible Names that Protestant call her and His POPES..

God the father Thought her a worthy Vessel of Grace to Carry his son to fruition and become man while many Protestants say the opposite who will I FOllow? God and His True Church... not the Protesting one founded by Men and their beliefs that aren’t in The Bible.. “SOLA SCRIPTURA ring a Bell

I never heard Jesus say in the Bible Calvin, Luther, King henry ..etc upon this Rock I build my Church... But reading The Bible will be sufficient! Ignore the Communion of Saints all the Martyrs for the Church.. and The Eucharist etc.. BTW Our Traditions Like The POPE go Back two Millenium so looking through todays Prism is wrong..

The Catholic Church never embraced ABORTION like so many Protestant Churches like the baptist! Homosexuality was Called an abomination By Christ world Reknowned Protestant leaders Like desmond Tutu...gene Robinson say otherwise..

And what would those names be? I’ve never heard Mary called any names.

****founded by Men and their beliefs that aren’t in The Bible.. “SOLA SCRIPTURA ring a Bell****

There is more support for Sola Scriptura than Peter being the first Pope.

BTW, where is the word Trinity in the Bible?

***The Catholic Church never embraced ABORTION.... ***

So why did the Pope serve up communion to politicians who support abortion?

***where Y’all supported Abortion in the 1970’s and 1980***

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Presbyterian Church in America (PCA)

"has taken a very strong pro-life position, believing that the unborn child is a human being whom God is creating." The position paper of 1978, which is also accepted as the current position, expresses a clear understanding of the sanctity of human life. "Abortion is the intentional killing of an unborn child between conception and birth. ... Scripture leaves no doubt about the continuity of personhood that includes the unborn child, and therefore, under the Sixth Commandment, prohibits shedding innocent blood." At the 1996 General Assembly, PCA strongly condemned partial-birth abortions "as a murderous and horrifying practice and a grave offense against almighty God," and petitioned the President and Congress "to act in accord with this Biblical standard."

That’s not in the Bible, even the Catholic one.

Philly: “I want to see you explain to Jesus Calling His Mother The terrible Names that Protestant call her...”

What names are you talking about here? Like the name “Sinner”? I do think most mainline Protestant churches disagree with the Roman Catholic deification of Jesus’s mother. But I am not aware of any name-calling.

Please give examples of these “terrible” names.
