The parable of Lazarus and the rich man, is not a parable. There WAS a rich man…..There WAS a beggar named Lazarus.

That is as straight forward as it needs to be.

Mat_21:33 "Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.

Luk 7:41 "There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
Luk 7:42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?"

The article is trash, written by a poorly educated person who places their off the cuff opinion higher than historical academics and verity of His Word.

Hades has at least four compartments (Paradise/Abraham’s Bosom, Torments, Tatarus, and the Abyss), all described with locative descriptors. Hades isn’t figurative, but as real a place as any other in human experience and perception.

Hades is also recorded in Christ’s Revelations to John in the 4th seal and in the final judgment Rev 20:13-15.

It is later cast into the Lake of Fire.

I think it's a good explanation of a parable....

Luk 16:31
(31) And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

“The parable of Lazarus and the rich man ...” I agree with you, that story was not a parable. Jesus descended to the place the Richman and the beggar ended up upon their deaths. He went there following His crucifixion. Jesus, being transcendant of dimension Time, could relate what would be a future event, future moment to the Richman and Lazarus. I believe He did just that when telling of the events where the great gulf is fixed. To ‘fiddle’ with the Bible message, some start by assuming the story is a parable rather than Jesus relating a reality which to the listener will be a future event that Jesus can perceive at any moment in dimension Time.

Mainstream means....Catholic...and her Protestant daughters.

Good grief, what is this supposed to mean?

Hell has been defined by you folks (The Catholic/Protestant Cabal) as someplace where bad people go and burn forever. It's not biblical in the slightest.

It's a fairy tale....designed to keep the folks in line and the collection plates full!

I see you finally got around to reading my post...........
