I’m more spiritual and just thought I’d share some words of wisdom with you. Roy Masters doesn’t have all the answers, but he is spot on about a hell of a lot! Whether you like it or not.. you know the truth when you hear it! ;)

No, “assistance of the Holy Spirit” is clear to me.
And now I understand you are talking about the sacraments of initiation.

That’s why I and annalex post five translations of the Daily Readings on the Daily Readings threads, including the ones you mentioned!

Come on over. God is patient, it took me years of study and prayer to take the plunge and I’ve never questioned my decision, even after years of FR religion threads.

I invite you to join the Daily Readings Ping List. A lot of good material there and lots of links to explore.

And many of us find too much heresy within the Church of Rome.

See, when you say “Welcome home,” you’re confirming what many of us Evangelicals believe, that you see us as non-Christians, as apostate, as heretical, as anathema.
It’s just tiring to hear that Christ is not sufficient for salvation, that somehow we’re “outside the faith” because our pastor isn’t the pope, and that we believe Mary to be a blessed woman rather than the co-mediatrix/co-redemptrix, that we believe bread to be, as Scripture says, “bread.”
The arrogance is just tiring.

Thats wonderful!
A few years ago I was introduced to Father Corapi’s works. The man is a juggernaut of faith and I bet you'd like him. You can even find a few clips of Father Corapi on youtube. Oddly enough, I found a few very interesting Catholic related clips on that site.

** youre confirming what many of us Evangelicals believe, that you see us as non-Christians, as apostate, as heretical, as anathema.**
This is not true. I have a very dear friend who came to Catholicism from and Evangelical Church. She shared that she always knew something was missing. What do you think could be missing in your church?
We know you are a Christian, not an apostate; we just invite you to join more fully into the entire truth of Jesus Christ.

A poster recommended Peter Kreeft: I second that recommendation as I was lucky enough to listen to his lecture during the last Boston Catholic Men's Conference. A very learned and wonderful man whom I knew nothing about until the last conference. Professor Kreeft converted from Calvinism some years ago.
Also, both the Boston Catholic Men's and Women's conference is available on DVD and CD. The speakers for each conference are different ( as far as I remember ) and the talks are fantastic. If you have interest I can find the web site with ordering info.

You have every right to feel like a victim if you want but as a Catholic, I will continue to “Welcome home” anyone I want to and I guarantee you I won’t have one twitch of conscience.
