Christianity in Europe is taking a hit because of the socialistic and communistic secular viewpoints they have. But I do believe there will be a revival in those nations. God’s not done with them yet. We kinda forget Him sometimes when we talk about religion. He’s still working. He still has a love and a purpose for all nations.

Look into the RCIA program

I wouldn't be too hasty about this. Some (too few) parish programs are good and nourishing.

I guess I lucked out - for me it was fantastic!

I'm happy to take this opportunity to straighten out your errors.

Protestants do not bow to the Bible.

Protestants do not pray to the Bible.

Protestants do not believe any part of the Bible is a relic and therefore it does not possesses intrinsic holiness.

Protestants do not believe the Bible morphs through some priestly alchemy into Jesus Christ Himself (which may God give you eyes to see is simply warmed-over paganism.)

Protestants do, however, take the Bible at its word that Scripture is God's intended means of communicating to His family via the indwelling Holy Spirit who illuminates the words on the page so that the truth of Christ risen can penetrate our hearts and renew our minds.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour" -- Titus 3:5-6

""He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." -- John 7:38

"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." -- 2 Timothy 3:14-17

I never had the idea that Catholics hated Protestants until I came to the Religion forum on FR.

Neither did I. I really got my eyes opened on FR.

Huh? Would you mind explaining that to me?

Perhaps you would post a link to ANY post that demonstrates your claim that Catholics “HATE” Protestants. I only ask because I think this is one of the most ironic statements I have EVER seen here.

When Catholics are regularly portrayed as pagans who worship wafers, it goes past “disagreement.”

How do you know all this?

More importantly, why did He not cause such "revival" all around the very cradle of Christianity so that all those lands became and have been mohammedan for fifteen hundred years now?

A bigot is completely invested in their anti truths..It is part of their identity.

To deny that their falsehood is a lie would be to divest themselves of a portion of their identity.

Now a sensible Baptist would put that rattlesnake in the potluck.

How could I be so dumb! You must be a great cook.

I know dang good and well Baptists do not snake handle or drink cyanide or tell their wives their butts look big in those pants.

I was good till the last one and I've got the scar on the side of my head, where my wife hit me with the bottle of beer, to prove it. But I know better than to do it now.

If you’re going to make an accusation, SUBSTANTIATE it! I am, by no means, a daily contributor to them.

Yes, you do -- you just don't admit it (except some of you sometimes).

Protestants do not believe the Bible morphs through some priestly alchemy into Jesus Christ Himself (which may God give you eyes to see is simply warmed-over paganism.)

Doesn't have to morph in the Protestant view since both are the "Word of God" -- it's already there!

It doesn’t matter what you say or how you explain it. I still believe Protestants worship the Bible. I’ve seen it with my own eyes! The open Bible is front and center on the table right below the pulpit. All worship centers around this collection of pieces of paper. Protestants always have one in their hands and never go to church without theirs. It’s all-Bible, all-the-time, and the bigger, the better. I’ve seen people put one hand on the Bible and stretch their other hand out in prayer. It sure looks to me like they think the Bible does possess intrinsic holiness, not unlike a relic. And it looks to me like they worship it.

Welcome home.

The only advice I would give is that you ask the Lord to continually lead you and to bring people into your life that will help you on your journey.

God bless!
