>>I think the RCC doctrines are a product of the enemy<<

Please tell us where we stand here. Examples welcome, but I'm not sure that actual names can be used when quoting another FReeper, so date and thread title may be better.

I never realized myself how big a chasm exists between us. Amazing.

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

Reading the minds of other posters and/or attributing motives are forms of "making it personal."

>>Get over it, Petronski. No one here HATES Catholics. We are trying to point out the errors in Catholicism.<<

We have had so many wonderful non-Catholics come in here and say that Catholics are Christians.

Then there are others who have not.

How about if we just let the thread speak for itself, because what it shows is that MOST non-Catholics think we are Brothers and Sisters in Christ. A very few don’t.

No one here HATES Catholics.

When did you acquire omniscience?

Indeed, and it’s not being done by the prottys.

It certainly is. Try to follow along. I am referring to the quotations in CCC460 and the theological concept of Theosis.

See post 650 and tell me if the one stripping away the context is Catholic or Protestant.

Can you please clairify who is “us”?

Because from what I’m seeing, it’s a few posters and not the majority of Catholics and Protestants.

Do you see something missing? The numbers.

And half of the text!

Truth is truth. I hope you can see that one day, mom.

If YOU know, and I mean 100% know without a shred of doubt, then why do you read Scripture, why do you go to church? Why don't people flock to you for knowledge?

The REALITY is that there are about 2.3 billion Christians in the world. Of those nearly 1.5 billion are Catholic or Orthodox who have carried, through Apostolic succession, Church teachings for nearly 2000 years and these teachings DO NOT include YOPIOS. Of the just over 700 million Protestants, MOST do not agree with much of what you believe (denial of infant baptism and the Real Presence). So, why do you claim to know the "truth" when what you believe is clearly disbelieved by most Christians and ALWAYS has been?

That is what makes your thread so ingenious!

Catholic haters are just like liberals, they can only bite their tongues and pretend for so long and then the vitriol comes spurting out.

The saddest part is they don't even seem to realize that most Protestants don't even agree with them.

Catholic Church fathers are the ones who wrote the New Testament.

The New Testament was written by Jews for Jews.

Only with Paul did YHvH extend the good news to gentiles.

You don't know what you're talking about. The Church was the only institution that survived the barbarian hordes.

The New Testament was written by Jews for Jews.

They were Jews, and yet Christian when they believed Jesus was the Messiah.

Written "for" Jews? Exclusively?

I'd enjoy watching you try to prove that.

What about the Gospel of St. Luke? And the Acts of the Apostles? I thought those were written in Greek by him.
