If there were an official religion here, I’d have nothing to do.

I don’t know about that, you would still have the denominational donnybrooks. Lots of Christians here have doctrinal disagreements. Then there is the stuff like this thread. If you didn’t have anything to do, you would lose this gig that I’m sure is heavily compensated. Cat shepherd has got to be worth some major jack.

Herding or disciplining expecting results from the cats.

**If there were an official religion here, I’d have nothing to do.**

LOL! Thank goodness we aren’t in China, the former Russia or some other places in which there is no choice of religion — or else one might suddenly disappear.

Honestly, I didn’t think someone could get “ZOT”ed for a religious view, however mistaken. Am I wrong in thinking so? And isn’t it better to have such views challenged and answered rather than deleted?

Well, I think I am the original commentator. All I can say is that I know some modern Gnostics (like Harold Bloom) claim Mormons as one of their own. They also claim some of the charismatics as distant kin. That’s what I’m going by, but I mean to attack no one’s faith.

“Kolo,

Apparently you and I profess a different trinity from each other (filioque not withstanding).

Regards,

StAG”

Ah, NOW I understand why you guys cross yourselves backwards! I knew there was a soul destroying heresy lurking there somewhere! :)

"Gibberesh. Shut up."

Yup, your cryptic one-line statement WAS gibberish. That's the point. It can be interpreted two completely different ways: 1) Paul was "up to his neck" in OPPOSING Gnosticism, or 2)Paul's teachings themselves were somehow Gnostic (which is what it actually seems to mean). And what I have been trying to do since you posted that gibberish was to get you to say WHICH of the two meanings was the right one, hopefully with come background--but you want to play head games.

So, which was it???

No, I don’t suppose a “ZOT” is really kosher but so many post this type of drivel that sometimes it just gets old.

Can we have a show of hands for a Zot?

No, let's just use your post and hijack the thread. The picture reminds me of a restaurant at which I used to occaisionally dine. Perhaps some others here remember the chain.

Sambos.
