For over twenty years, "Patriot Pastor" Garrett Lear has strode the halls of New Hampshire's legislature...serving as a voice for his faith and his Revolutionary War ancestors. Today he talks with us about Real ID, the liberty deficit among Christians and his colorful outfit. Pastor Lear's church is in Wakefield, New Hampshire.
What do *you* think? Is Real ID the Mark of the Beast? A precursor to it? A bad thing? A good thing?
Other priorities. Will try and look closer eventually.
So, you are hostile to Dispensationalism?
I guess I should try harder to keep all the $10 words straight.
LOL.
I believe it’s coming, and that it’s not something you can “accidentally” do (like accepting a Kroger frequent-purchase card). You would have to know that you are engaging in a depraved act and do so willingly.
It would appear that the remedy is to get saved (or if you are a Calvinist, to hope you are on God’s A-list). I presume a once-saved-always-saved person isn’t going to be enamored of the beast if indeed that person is still around at that time.
So it is a command of God not to number His people.
Now note, this is His people, not the rest of the world.
Christ has numbered all who are His with His blood. He knows who they are. Mankind does not know who they are.
The only way that you can identify with "the Beast" is to think (forehead) and act (right hand) like the beast. When you don't, but live as a holy people separate from the world, you will endure persecution. Or you can fit in with the crowd, it's your choice. The elect will never do it.
Thanks tons.
Likewise.
I’m not a JW.
I think issues that starkly important will not be fuzzy things.
A lot of frog in the bucket stuff leads up to that . . . but I think that major a decision will be starkly laid out.
True.
And, I wouldn’t doubt that there are various layers of such efforts . . . depending on whatever flags are raised about a given source, phone number, ISP, screen name, etc.
Thanks much for your link.
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. John 10:4-5
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: - John 10:27
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
OUR BLESSED HOPE HOLDS US SECURELY.
If you're a born again Christian, and there is no other kind, neither of us will be here when AntiChrist is revealed so we don't have to worry about the "mark". And neither will the saved midtribbers and postribbers who think we will all be here unless we die first.
The mark of the Beast would not be on my "things to worry about" list if I had such a list, which of course I don't. Why worry and make yourself miserable when you can trust God to ALWAYS do what is best for you in every situation whether you realize it at the time or not?
Right, there are secret microphones in your home satellite box, just like the ones in everyones home PC and cable box. I bet it would be impossible to prove, due to it’s highly classified nature of course.
God is in control.
He will protect His own. What concerns me MORE is Bible based Christianity being watered down and disappearing from our society, It is lack of BELIEF that I am more concerned about as we “Slouch towards Gomorrah”.
However, it seems reasonable to me that an administration which would have a "bone to pick" with fundamentalist Christians [Clinton or Obama] would also be looking for Christian keywords or phrases under the pretext of preventing another Timothy McVeigh. And from that, it would be only a short step to an international clampdown on Christianity at large.
Thank you for your encouragements, dear brother in Christ!
Some things I’m not certain of. Some things I am.
I have come to think that the sources about the cable boxes are diverse and significant enough that I mostly believe that.
I believe the stuff about cell phones.
I don’t know about satellite boxes.
I certainly believe black ops folks have access to all computers by any number of back doors etc. and that they have various agreements with anti-spyware etc. companies insuring such access.
But, hey, far be it from me to hinder someone’s whistling by the grave yard in abject denial. I think folks should be as blissful as long as possible.
Unless, of course, they’d like to be above average prepared for what’s coming down the Pike.
Sorry, but I’m not a Chiliast.

The Radical Left views Christians as exactly the same as radical islamists. Don’t wonder about it, they do and they say so.
