So sad that I need to post this twice...

“I like your Christ, I don’t like your Christians, you are so unlike your Christ”.

The Republican presidential hopeful also called Hagee “the staunchest leader of our Christian evangelical movement,” citing the minister’s pro-Israel stance.

What? Who is this guy, never heard of him.

This guy is right out of the Fred Phelps school of reformed (read that false) theology. It’s a shame that the name Christian is sullied by these so-called preachers of the book.

“For the record, Hitler persecuted the Catholic Church and was automatically excommunicated in 1931

Wow. Talk about rewriting history.

Hitler was never excommunicated.

And plenty of Catholics on this website have stated this, giving the reason for the absence of Hitler's excommunication as "there was no need to do so."

I guess the RCC realized that was a pretty flimsy excuse, so now they've changed their approach. lol. When the truth doesn't work, go to Plan B...C...D...

It seems that the catholics on this thread do not show the
Chesed ( lovingkindness ) of Yah'shua ( Jesus ).

Hagee and Donohue deserve each other. I used to think that Hagee was just another harmless nut on Christian TV. That McCain thinks its necessary (or wise) to accept Hagee’s endorsement is troubling.

Although I have several substantive Biblical disagreements with Catholics, I do not suppot Hagee. He is trying to decipher Revelations. And while that may be an interesting exercise, it does not make for sound doctrine. The Bible ought to be preached for what IT says, not for what we want to believe it says.

Bill Donohue: the Catholic Abe Foxman.

What the hypocritical Mr. Donahue doesn't realize is that his demand that Fundamentalist Protestants not believe that the Catholic Church is "the whore of Babylon" is the exact equivalent of Jewish demands that the Catholic Church recant its position of J*sus as sole savior, or Protestant/Orthodox demands that it drop its belief that it is the "one true church." Fundamentalist Protestants must believe the Catholic Church is "the whore of Babylon" or else become Catholics themselves. Why is this so hard to understand?

Catholics seem to have lost all sense of black and white and to have gone over to a "shades of gray" worldview. If something is wrong, it is wrong. It isn't a mistake or a big "oopsie." It's evil. Fundamentalist Protestants are attacked for using the language of conviction instead of PC-speak. Personally, I'd rather hear Catholics saying Fundamentalist Protestantism is an invention of Satan than the usual mantra about it being made up of "simple-minded bigots." The former is the language of conviction, the latter of liberalism.

I suppose it's only a matter of time before Donahue calls for all TV stations to drop Hagee's programs, even if none of them mention the Catholic Church. Meanwhile, Fundamentalist Protestant networks actually carry Catholic masses. It seems "tolerance," as usual, is a one way street.

Wideawake, please see post #31. I invite you to join me in denouncing uncalled-for remarks about Rev. Hagee's physical appearance, which have nothing to do with his theology one way or another.

I am growing very tired of these “personality pastor” denominations which stand in the front of the temple saying how holy they are so everyone can see.
