Childish behavior |

They're called the "Lost Boys," the teenagers kicked out of their homes and communities by leaders of the polygamist Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to ensure there's an ample supply of single, young women who will one day become plural wives. Representative Lorie Fowlke (R-Orem), is running a bill to make this abandonment a felony.
"Estimates are that we've had more than 1,000 children - primarily in southern Utah - thrown out of their homes," Fowlke says. "What we were trying to do with this bill is criminalize this behavior and send a message to this community that they can't just throw away their children."
H.B. 23 adds child abandonment to the definition of child abuse, and makes it a felony crime. It also adds an enhancement if a parent or organization benefits from the child's abandonment to further an illegal enterprise, such as polygamy. This is the case with the FLDS church, says Roger Hoole, a lawyer who represents some of the displaced young men and sits on the board for the Utah Association for Justice. He says the church benefits from kicking out young men who would compete for plural wives. This, he says, has devastating consequences.
"There's a huge impact that's coming, like a tsunami, that's going to hit the state of Utah, when these boys get a little older and realize what has happened to them and get angry," Hoole says. "There's a real problem here."
Fowlke's bill gained unanimous support in a Senate committee this morning, and now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
My first post had nothing to do with Mormons' "non-compliance to my formula of religion"...it had to do with the irony of the post that I was responding to...
Here is my first post:
No...of course this is not the LDS Church!
The real LDS Church, long ago, forsook the teachings and doctrines of the Mormon "prophets" (like Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, and others), who prophesied about, and followed, the alleged God-ordained practice of polygamy!
What lunatic would take multiple wives (some even married to ther men), especially with a majority being teenagers! That would just be insanity!!!!
But who, and what kind of person, would follow the lunacy and insane practices of these prophets, right?

See...this had nothing to do with the non-conformance to my religious formula.
Wno is Dr. Ankerberg?
I said..
“You do know that the mormons dont believe in the Jesus of the Bible ???
That the mormons do not believe as Christians believe ????”
And you said..
“That is just your opinion, and nothing more...”

No, I’m just going on what the mormon literature teaches...
As a Christian I do not accept or believe extra-Biblical or non-Biblical doctrines that go against the Gospel of Jesus Christ...
I accept Christ as my savior, but I don’t accept all your doctrines. You have attempted to define “Christianity” as accepting a particular set of doctrines, so as to exclude those who are believers in Christ, but who don’t agree with you on other things. I reject your definition. Whether I am a Christian is between me and my Savior.
Um...You may want to check again. Jesus took up a whip against them and drove them out of the Temple. He, also, called the Pharisees white-washed tombs, a brood of vipers, and etc.
This is my first encounter with you I believe your have an unusual name I think I would remember.
And you are continue to being hostile!
I had pointed out in that last thread my reason for saying what I did because of your persistent question approach, and continue to want to ignore that the Church, Doctrine and Salvation were from Jesus Christ and not any of the stuff you keep trying to mock the LDS with.
Yes...Unfortunately, I believe that you are correct Tennessee Nana.
You have attempted to define Christianity MORMONISM as accepting a particular set of doctrines, so as to exclude those who are believers in Christ POLYGAMY, but who dont agree with you on other things.

Nope..it’s not the Christians that have all the doctrines...
It’s the mormons that have more doctrines and requirements for whatever “salvation” is to them...
What is salvation and how do we obtain it?
Only to those who revealed themselves that they are of their father the devil.
John 8: 44, 49
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
I would not lable anyone here SOP or devil!
Oh, please, we all know that we are not talking about a ‘building”....the word “church” also indicates a body if believers in a particular faith...stop getting all hung up on semantics... we all know, that Catholics(those who believe and follow the Catholic religion, and therefore consider themselves to be the the Catholic ‘church’(a body of believers), believe they are following the true Christian religion, Baptists believe that they are following the true Christian religion, Methodists believe they are following the true Christian religion and so on and so forth...
And each religion has its own little peculiarities, for want of a better word to use...I do not use this word ‘peculiarity’ in any sort of a demeaning manner...I use it to indicate a belief that a particular religion may embrace, which is not embraced by other religions...Catholics believe in transubstantiation, most other Christian religions do not...Many religions ‘preach’ that the earth is just 6000 years old, many other religions, find this claim ridiculous...some churches actually believe saved believers must handle snakes to prove their worthiness...now most ‘churches’ find this ridiculous, but those who handle snakes believe that those of us who dont, are risking our salvation...
We can all read the Bible, we can all study various religions, we can all come to our best understanding of what the Bible says...and as we go about this, there will be arguments and disagreements...your opinion applies to you, but it does not apply to me, or anyone else...
You may not think that Mormons are Christians, as you have come to define what that may mean...others are free to disagree with you and they do...
Who is Jesus to you ???
Do a search for pby posts...you will see that I have been around for a long time.
I am not being hostile and I have never attacked you personally (even though you did attack me).
My questions persist because you, Old Mountain Man, and other Mormons do not answer them.
...And persistent questioning is not hostile...just persistent.
“The problem now seems to be there hasn’t been much effort TO handle the problem, instead much turning a blind eye.”
I believe there have been efforts but it is hampered by the border problem I mentioned earlier and the lack of witnesses, probably. What would you have them do? Something along the lines of what Janet Reno did to Koresh at Waco? What the ATF did to Randy Weaver in Idaho? These people run their towns like fortresses out in the middle of the desert. They scamper across borders. They go into hiding. Would you have the state dissolve the communities? Take all the children away? In the secretive nature of the communities would you know whom to arrest and whom to let go?
It is a definite law enforcement challenge and one that can’t be solved easily, unless you are Janet Reno.
Bwahahahaha, spammer.
Oh, very cute...
Nope, it is a belief in all of the revealed Truth that He taught. That creates a problem for the LDS as they claim to be the ONLY repository of such knowledge and place themselves, therefore, at odds with all of Christendom.
