The guy was getting 90% of the Mormon vote. Whatever problems his church had with him, it couldnt have been too severe. The "tribe" mentality will overcome any personal misgivings one might have. Especially in a tribe in which the belief that they are "being persecuted" for their differences has been a major lifetime influence. The fact that Mitt lost has only sharpened that perception.

As part of the 10%, my problems with Romney have nothing to do with him as a Mormons, but as a conservative. I think the whole "Mormon" issue just muddied the waters on his conservatism.
