Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson (R) received a major boost to his campaign Tuesday with the endorsement of the National Right to Life Committee.
In supporting me, those who have worked tirelessly to defend life are supporting a consistent conservative who has stood with them yesterday, who stands with them today, and will stand with them tomorrow, Thompson said. The groups endorsement should help the former senator strengthen his network of grassroots supporters in the key primary states. When National Right to Life speaks, were not speaking as a Washington group, said David OSteen, the groups executive director, pointing to National Right to Lifes strong state roots. There have been endorsements by individuals of various candidates, OSteen added. Every candidate has received endorsements from some individuals, and thats to be expected. But this is the first endorsement in the Republican race from a major, grassroots, pro-life organization, representing 50 state organizations and about 3,000 chapters.

What good are a pile of candidates who use the promise of judicial appointments and/or support for amendments to the Constitution as cover for their complete failure to keep their own oaths of office?
Defending human life is not a federalist issue.
***Bears repeating. Especially if what life is being defended is more innocent, defenseless and cannot speak for itself.
...and the fact that they have no intention of ever keeping that oath.
“Hunter is probably more pro-life than Huckabee..”
That is so frustrating. Duncan Hunter has been fighting for years for LIFE, which shows his high commitment.
Duncan Hunter:
“I would amend the U.S. Constitution and provide blanket protection to all unborn children from the moment of conception by prohibiting any state or federal law that denies the personhood of the unborn. Likewise, I have also introduced the Right to Life Act, which would legally define “personhood” as the moment of conception and, therefore, guarantee all constitutional rights and protections, including life, to the unborn without utilizing a constitutional amendment.” [www.gohunter08.com]
Duncan Hunter wrote a bill called the Life at Conception Act, that would define life at conception ensuring that the 14th amendment applies to unborn children in defending life. More about the bill here:

Granted, I don't think there's a chance in hell the amendment would pass, but just bringing it to a vote would be a great accomplishment. I would love to see some of the professional politicians in DC have to stand up and place their name to a YEA or NAY.
See EV, it really is that simple.
You still don’t get it, do you.
Salvation is always respectful to everyone.
I wasn’t speaking to you or to anyone other than Salvation.
It’s her choice whether she responds or not.
Salvation a religious bigot?
You’re way out of line.
“I wasnt speaking to you ..”
May I suggest that perhaps you should send PMs if you are not speaking to everyone, rather than deflect from an important topic - the life issue.
You posted your defamation publicly.
This is what was posted and this is what I am responding to. Tell Salvation to stay on topic:

There are some Catholics who are supporting other nominees, so I thought this needed to be out there.
Thompson is coming up! God bless him!

The suggestion that post #6 makes Salvation any kind of bigot is absurd. You need to apologize.
Oh, I’ve been attacked again. Oh me, oh my, what shall I do? Not to worry, I’ll pray for her.
Sort of humorous in a way. I guess because I post a lot of religious items, I’m not supposed to have any poltical opinions? LOL! I started on FR in the middle of the hearings in Florida concerning Bush and Gore. And I wasn’t posting any religious items at that time, believe me!!!!
Political start — and now I can’t post political things? Doesn’t add up — does it?
Why are you attacking me personally?
Religion and politicss. Sometimes they just don’t mix, do they!
I’ll say a Hail Mary for you.
I really liked all your postings. They add a lot of insight to the thread. Blessings.
I humbly suggest you have been hit by the Romney Sleaze Machine Prime Directive.
We’re each entitled to our political opinion and candidate of choice, but when you decide you can lecture others politically based on religious affiliation.... well then, who is confusing the issues there?
